A few heavy showers developing around here now.
-
Nothing like they expected here, it is raining fairly heavily now though
-
The yellow warning for Friday had completely gone when I checked not long ago. I've checked again and it is there again. They must have been updating it.
-
It seems to be building now further south than the heavy rain currently, going by the warning they must expect this rain to suddenly intensify a lot. It is very slow moving though, which is probably why there are numerous warnings out.
-
Not really any rain in the amber zone, is this expected later on or has it moved further north?
-
Strange. Just watched the BBC weather and it shows the core being over Birmingham around 6am. Yet it looks Birmingham is going to be around 50 miles too far south for any of the action. Weird.
That's why I was wondering whether this rain has appeared earlier and that more will form later on further south and east.
-
Is the rain over Shrewsbury area developing earlier than expected?
It seems to be not where the amber warning is.
-
Where has this amber warning just appeared from, didn't know any rain was expected tomorrow!
-
That lot in North Wales seems to be building a lot, heading for here by the looks of it.
-
Rain looked like it was dying out before it got here but now it's here it is chucking it down now.
-
Still grey skies here
-
What's the forecast for tonight? There is quite a lot of surface water around.
-
Certainly a lot of rain over the last few hours, flooded out some areas. I don't know what the forecast is now but it seems to be intensifying as it moves out westwards.
-
The rain has really picked up here recently.
-
I've noticed the radar doesn't show it as really heavy rain but it has been quite heavy here.
-
I never really pay attention to the forecasts when it is this close, I just nowcast and see what happens.
-
Weather forecast still looks on track for very heavy rain, could be some serious flooding. Anybody else think we might see a red warning somewhere? I think we will.
-
Warnings have been slowly edging south during the day.
I've just looked at the weather warnings and it is only the one below a red level warning, I still think that there will be a red warning for this somewhere, I dont know where though, the only thing that is stopping it now is that it has to go up one more level on the likeliness scale. I think we could be seeing that tomorrow.
-
Amber warning now covering the West midlands county completely, it's been slowly heading south during the day.
-
That met office warning still seems to far NE to me....
Hmmm What do they know..
That's exactly what I think
-
Yeah, still think the amber alert needs to be more over the midlands
-
The latest forecast shows heavy rain across the midlands but on the Met Office the yellow warning only just edges into this region. Will they extend the warnings and maybe shift down the amber area too?
-
I wonder if we will see a change of warnings soon then.
-
I'm a little bit confused at the moment. On Midlands Today they keep mentioning the heaviest rain will be be over central parts of the country yet the forecast and the warnings seem to be for NE England, where are they getting that from?

Where do all these warnings comes from?! I looked a few days ago, there were none, now there are some for almost every day of the week and the area for Wednesdays has just increased as well.
