I just saw itv weather and they spoke about blizzard but then showed the summery and it said rain and hill snow so could be what norm happens around here, m4 north snow and around and below rain or sleet. I think for the people who want snow they better get out and do a cold temp dance as that's what we need so that it comes in as snow and stays as snow. as many who know their stuff on here have said we probs wont know until the event starts and I have seen over the years things change even when it starts. my kids(not that young any more) want major snow so get out and dance guys ha ha. cold dance cold dance cold dance I noticed that as well and it also showed it on tv weather earlier, keep an eye on that hope that keeps cold in and don't raise the temps.

sounds very much that you guys could get a lot of snow fri and possibly sat good luck to you,from what I have read it sounds as if you will have the colder temps so could be all snow for you guys.

that has changed then as it was snow this afternoon for nearly all wales. so has anything changed? I don't think anyone will know for deff until you look at your lamppost.

hi all I have noticed from derricks forcast and ians in south west that they are saying 2 to 5 cm for low areas, if that does happen and it be good if it did. that's not that great as snow events go is it? 1 or 2 inches would not take that much snow to come out of the sky, i heard them say on tv this morn that for every cm of rain = 10cm of snow so that atlantic storm coming in(fingers crossed) cant be that good if you know what I mean, or have they got the amount of snow/rain wrong on the forcasts? I know nothing is set in stone and anything could happen but I would have thought if it snows heavy for that many hrs it has to be far more than 1 to 2 inches.whats your thoughts if it did hit wales as snow.

I drove all along that area last night and it was awful,i did see gritters out but they where going the other way ha ha,worst area I past was Tredegar area and trefil. I can only imagine how bad the conditions are there this morn.

if those charts did happen it would be terrible conditions, well could be good all depends how you feel ha ha, my drive home last night wasn't the best, up by trefil was crazy snow was very heavy and everywhere was covered. then rhigos mountain and bwlch were fun (not) as well. kids took pics but I don't understand this new laptop and im rubbish on it so don't know how to get them on here. I just showed my wife them charts and she said its scary. after last nights drive I will always believe in charts in case it happens as last night I didnt listen to some on here saying chances of snow and it did happen I was a stupid going the route I went.

well I got to say guys I doubted the snow but by s.it we just drove from crickhowell to back home in Nantymoel and am I glad I took the 4x4. left crick and it was sleet went through gilwern ok up big hill then onto heads of valley road,got towards the top and snow and sticking,then got around trefil and it was terrible snow dry and hammering down I was very scared to be honest,then got towards dowlias top and it wasn't to bad,on way to Merthyr and it was sleet,all the way to rhigos mountain and then it hit again very bad conditions and heavy snow,then ok in the valley lots of slush then up bwlch again very bad. I then got home and white by me but I would say the bad snow above 350m. I was glad to see home to be honest,up by trefil was terrible snow. my kids took a few pics will try and get them on here how do I do it? never again will I say no snow for wales ha ha. onionse my self lol

just looked in model thread and they have a chart in there showing snow depths for fri (if it comes off) and to be honest (not being negative) it looks like some parts of wales are going to be too mild to see snow, we seem very close to mild air so could be a rain event for some or all or could be snow. if that does come off some parts of the uk should see some good snow amounts, talk on model thread is upto 18cm. everyone better start doing a cold dance and blow the warmer air away lol ha ha.

son just went up garden and said come have a look at this dad, next door used to have chickens when they died couple of months ago they put grass seed in and it is still growing, that is mad. and I just noticed that the daffs are starting to come out. in January lol. anyone else have daffs coming out? just goes to show how mild it has been so far.

is it me or is this cold spell not cold? my son just come in and said its nice out dad, I asked him if he found it cold and he said no its nice out. I also feel that its quite warm for winter. even last night when snow was falling it didn't feel that cold, so is this cold spell just colder than the very mild we been having or is it going to get much colder?

I remember these charts from last year, i don't think what it showed every happened. it feels mild out today and if the temps don't drop by a lot there is no way will any battle be over wales. I got a gut feeling this will pass through wales as rain and then turn to snow the further east it gets just as has happened today and many times in the past. fingers crossed I am wrong and we hammered by the biggest blizzard ever ha ha but I got a feeling we going to have a pretty s..t.y winter in Wales. just like our summer was very very wet.

drizzle here, temps are about 4.5 showing in car so mild really compared to yest. looks like nothing much for wales over the next few days, be nice if we could have some cold dry sunny days and then maybe some snow at the end of the week, but as we all know things will change within a week but which way will it turn? good luck to all doing their exams this week.

shame the temps have risen as looks like we be getting precip today but its going to falls as rain according to itv weather. some parts that still have lower temps are looking very good for today guys. never mind my rice is growing great ha ha

it is snowing up here guys and starting to stick but only on top of car and pavment but looking at radar it will stop by the time I get up from chair ha ha.

looking at the radar It doesn't look like its going to be much at all if im honest sorry to tell you this.

go on google earth and zoom in gives asl

fingers crossed it start soon,to me looking at Radar it seems to be coming south as it hits the cold air it seems to be coming more west and I think (probs not right) that west wales could have it over them later in the day. have a look guys on rain radar and it does seem to be coming our way into wales certainly more than they showed on tv early this morn.

I saw sky news and they have shown snow for far west. and far east as well,main band in the east but 2 blobs in west ha ha,good luck hope everyone be happy.

just had a look on rain radar and it looks like snow may start to be seen in north wales in the next hr, anyway we off out to rugby and its nice to say it be dry for a change.cracking day for it.

yes but what did they say inbetween, lets be honest they been everywhere and with everything they have thrown out one of them was bound to match another.looks like we going to get a nice sunny day today and sky news just showed snow north east wales and very far east wales but not getting down to the far south,it also showed some snow for far west wales but looked like showers.
