  1. Hi can you put me down for 17.8 for August pls
  2. well I'm still in the club because as far as I am concerned one distant flash of lightning followed by a pathetic equally distant rumble of thunder just does not count as a storm. Didn't even rain very hard either. Wouldn't mind but only 25 or so miles to my east Hastings/Camber were getting blasted..... Eastbourne yesterday or at least my part of it was promised so much but delivered so little. Typical!!
  3. After reading this post I excitedly turned to null to give me some hope for Wed only to find (quote): "Although much of the country will be at risk of a thunderstorm bringing the obvious threats of flash flooding, hail and very gusty winds – South Eastern parts will be less at risk with more in the way of sunny breaks and pleasant temperatures of 21 – 24oC" Typical - think I might be a member here for some time!!
  4. Can I join please? One miserable clap of thunder god alone knows how many weeks/months ago does not constitute a storm IMO. Wouldn't mind so much but supposedly I live in a good area for them.... yeh right! Was all going so well this weekend thought with our (much needed) rain arriving the hot weather might go out with a bang - but no luck and to rub salt in the wounds just across the channel they seem to be inundated with them. So near yet so far
  5. Gotta keep positive 17.8 for me please
  6. the storms seem really to be loathe to leave the french coast looking at some of the maps Here in Eastbourne like further along the coast its cloudy muggy and quite windy - no sign of anything else yet
  7. Hi everyone hope someone in your region can help me. My daughter (just recently passed her driving test) is currently on M6 encountering heavy snow heading south near stafford services, utimate destination Eastbourne. Not knowing what the weather is like up there and if it is getting better/worse would greatly appreciate a bit of guidance if I should advise her to stop awhile or best to continue to drive out of the snow showers. Much appreciated
  8. My ideal weather would be more continental, with below average winter months and above average summer months, and spring and autumn could stay as they are. This would also leave the yearly mean temperature as is without breaking the climate.
  9. Must be bad - my daughter who works in the Arndale Centre in Eastbourne has just been sent home because of weather conditions and says shops are closing there. Be interesting to see how many are open tom
  10. It's sunny and I'm in a cheerful mood so I'll try 17.5
  11. I'm with you Coast as a fellow Eastbournian local thumbs up and I work in Camber so another piece of good news. Wonder why Pevensey to Hastings only just made the grade and Cooden was a fail though?
  12. Appreciate some assistance - how do you get a photo to appear below your name on the left hand side of screen? It's prob staring me in the face but just can't suss it out
