I got loadsa room. Done online check in. Seat 39k I think.
I always get to the airport 3 hours before and in the past I have found it means you get through security etc quicker as the queues are bigger the later you go. Personally I'd rather be in the pub with drink for an hour or two than suck in a queue for that long!
Do we want a time to meet or should we just meet in the weatherspoons whenever?

My camcorder has arrived. Phew...that was a close call. I ordered it last week and forgot about all the bank holidays coming up. So happy. One less thing to worry about.

I'll also be in the bar at the hotel tomorrow night if anyone wants to join me?
Not sure what time yet - depends on number of factors including vets, boyfriend and trains.....

Hey everyone. I'm finally all packed. Tom, I nearly forgot my dorothy shoes!
Going through tech now. Pretty sure I had 2 camera batteries last year but only have one now. Very confusing as its all in the bag where I left it. hmm maybe I'm imagining I did . . . .

Theres loads to do in america.
I vote we go Alien hunting in Roswell.
Failing that we've got the black hills and colorado mountains. Theres the Cherokee reserves etc and the grand canyon.
There must be theme parks or swimming pools as well.
How bout a football match?
asn't there a Twister museum or something as well?
I'm sure it'll all work out fine. We'll have fun times no matter what!

Yep no worries, it will take about an hour extra to sort the cars so by the time we have cleared customs etc will probably be about 6pm by the time we hit the Hotel, if you dont mind hanging around then no worries about a lift at all.
Hoping to see some of this in 2011 - You might go :wacko: Watching This

Can I bum a lift too? If not i don't mind sorting out the transfer provided by the hotel for whoever wants it

not too many beers though will bring gps for pat just in casejust noticed my new tripop with paning video head has a catch that will not pass under the stereo plate
that i want to fit to it so asi can have camcorder plus camera with lightning trigger on it going to have to try and find some sort off riser or even make one
to fit between plate and stereo bar any one got any ideas as i don't want to take or use 2 tripods to enable quick "get in the car" calls
will miss Jo's descriptive adjectives ordering us back into cars this year

No, thats what my coat is for - it LOVES hail so much it jumps on my head hiding me so I can't see a thing! Rude if you ask me
!!!Unfortunatly It was just poor quality fabric.
I want a t-shirt but I don't want something that will wear out stupid quickly (as before) - especially as I intend to live in it! :lol:

May I ask where you are ordering the t-shirts from?
I've had some made online before and the quality was horrible. Holes appearing after 1 or 2 washes.

I so want to pack but I can't as I have to pack for my sisters wedding first, then unpack after that and repack for stormchasing. I'm thinking the unpacking n repacking may be done at the same time. yay.

YE i was also saying $600 .. one of the banks here have a new card now wer u can use it as a visa debit card so im gonna open up an account with them and transfer moeny into that and bring the card with me then

Thsts how caxton works. It's a prepay credit card come cashcard and is invaluable. I think fairFX is the same and I know you can do the same with santander's credit card with no fees but you get a poor exchange rate.

I took about $600 on a caxton last yer which was plenty. didn't take any cash as you can withdraw this off of the card at
either heathrow or texas. I much prefer this n feel safer not carrying cash. you can also top the card up at anytime on the internet if you find yourself running short of cash which was so handy in florida.

There are also some lovely and cheap campsites in sussex and also the new forest.
July August is best but we'd have to book as they fill up quick!

Orlando, Up the top of i-drive.
We had a nice thunderstorm last night. Was in a cab going down route 192 and we got slammed. Torrential rain, amazing (well better than england but not as good as supercell) lightening and thunder that made Jay jump out of his skin!!
