Looks wonderfully mild next week - though that will likely come with an absence of sunshine. More days like yesterday would be great.

Nothing on radar but it’s been raining steadily here for the last 45 minutes because why wouldn’t it

Felt weirdly springlike today. Someone was mowing their grass too so I could smell cut grass in the air.

The next time extended period of settled/dry weather can’t come soon enough.

Going incredibly dark to the west now.
Even yesterday evening I'm sure there was a forecast for "patchy rain" today, seems much worse than that.
Instead we've flipped straight into full-on Atlantic in overdrive, it seems. And three days before the cold spell was supposed to end. Was this atrociously awful Sunday forecast two or three days ago?
Someone mentioned Dec 2012 a few days ago. In some ways it is reminiscent of then, when the 13th was cold and dry and the 14th it suddenly flipped to deluge and didn't let up until Jan 1st.
December 2012 was pretty snowy here if remember right. Got a feeling it was the last snowy December in this part of the world- 1

Where’s the cold haters thread?
No snow here but it felt bitter yesterday. A much warmer week to come

Utterly miserable day here. Wet, cold and gross.

Thats some of the worst tornado damage ive ever seen in the UK, roof completely ripped off.
To do that kind of damage (physically lifting and moving vehicles and removing a roof entirely) it must've been really quite strong by UK standards. Possibly the strongest since Birmingham?

A cynic would say this sort of thing is Conditioning us to forcibly change our behaviour (ie staying at home to look after school kids rather than work) due to edicts related to a statistically unremarkable weather events. A precursor eventually to climate lockdowns I would suggest. Predicated by the usual Agenda 21/WEF powers and Climate Change movement and enforced by government and those in their pay.
Not much to report here - had a very heavy shower at some point in the night that hammered the windows and woke me up briefly.
That footage of a night time tornado in Jersey complete with power flashes/lightning is wild - thats not something I've seen from the UK before! Hope everyone down there is safe.

Quite the opposite unfortunately.
And this is why I HATE autumn/winter in the U.K. if it was cold and sunny/dry with fog and then snow in winter I would do just fine but it’s endless weeks of absolute cat p**s like this.

I'm not looking forward to the heating bills! Sadly I feel that most people won't be able to afford to keep warm.
I don’t know why people would disagree with this - maybe not ‘most’ people but I certainly know some people on the breadline who will really struggle.
Not trying to guilt trip anyone for liking cold weather though! I hope we have a snowy winter

today really is the worst of autumnal weather and the worst of british weather in general. Pouring rain and windy.
Grotesque.

Trail of devastation after freak 'mini-tornado' hit West Sussex with flying debris trashing vehicles and homes as Atlantic storm battered Britain | Daily Mail Online
WWW.DAILYMAIL.CO.UK
Windows were blown out, over 20 car windows smashed and at least one person was injured as a suspected freak mini-tornado ripped through West Sussex towns...I thought it would probably be SLW but I have seen another picture somewhere of a tree ‘twisted off’ about half way up the trunk.

As long as any SSW event doesn’t tamper with spring then I’m all for it.
wish this wind would do one. At least it’s dry and not too cold
