 Don the three week spell in June was wonderful - I have zero complaints there (apart from lack of storms) but July was a horror movie and august was painfully mediocre. 3 out of 12 weeks is quite poor.

Summer 23 was also apparently one of the ‘warmest ever’ or at least above average according to the stats but anyone with eyes would say it sucked.

 Don we did - but we’re now on 4 crap springs on the trot and one good summer out of 3. 
 

I wouldn’t be AS concerned if summer last year hadn’t been so awful. I didn’t think it was really possible to have an utterly dreadful spring AND summer but we managed it last year and now I worry this year will head the same way.

We’ve had like 4-5 nice weeks since the end of summer 22 which translates to roughly 4-5 weeks in the past EIGHTY. Or 35 days in the past 560

its horrendous.

So the rest of April looks uninspired and cold - if May is the same then I feel we can definitely say something has really tangibly changed in our climate since 2020 which is worrying.

I can’t cope with 9/10 months of autumn/winter every year.

 Cheshire Freeze yes going by my ‘weather app symbols’ which admittedly are quite useless, it just looks grey and cold for the foreseeable 

might as well bring back the weather we’ve just had because at least it was a bit warmer

I wonder if it’s going to be like last spring where it was relatively dry and even bright but we had that god awful nagging wind all the way until the very last day of May down here.

The bedroom especially is freezing again where the cold wind just drives its way through the house. My bones are tired and I need some warmth.

I like the house to be around 18-20 degrees for me to feel normal. The lack of sun (until yesterday) means the house just hasn’t warmed at all and has been chilly since like October.

Yesterday was only like the second day this spring where it’s actually felt springlike and it was nice taking my son out for a walk (even though there were random 90mph winds every so often)

today is okay when the sun is out.

Looking thoroughly uninspired for the next 10 days although dry which I guess is something.

yeah, spoke too soon - just looks like a continuation of the grey horrible theme that is now probably our default weather pattern going forwards but with lower temps.

It’s that time of year again where I just feel utterly exhausted and like I’ve ran a marathon. Absolutely desperate for some warmer weather so I can recharge.

 SollyOlly this is where I really will agree with you. The weather is becoming so homogenous.
 

I think if we were guaranteed a proper winter, those who struggle with the heat would grin and bear a proper summer and vice Versa. 
 

I hate the uncertainty in this country of knowing that spring and summer might be rubbish and I might have to wait another year until a decent one comes along - and obviously I admit those who enjoy snow etc have much more to complain about in our modern climate.

The general public has been bombarded with articles and speculation that the south of England will soon have a Mediterranean climate. Most people associate the Med with heat. These constant sound bites about how the U.K. will soon be able to grow pineapples in Blackpool have definitely led people to believe it’s gonna get hotter and drier.

Not many of them expected us to turn into the lost city of Atlantis.

 raz.org.rain I do struggle with humidity to be fair so I just make sure I take all the steps possible to mitigate it. Drink a cosmic tonne of water etc. humidity means the chance of big storms so I’m all for it!

 raz.org.rain didnt the CFS predict similar last summer? Which model/forecaster suggested a plume filled summer? The literal opposite happened so i'm a bit nervous now.
