    Great wee storm just passed through here overhead lightning loud thunder gusty winds and hail. I want more now.

    Just had our first very heavy shower go through here , torrential rain with some hail thrown in , no thunder or lightning though. Now its cleared away and the sun is trying to come back out , those showers over Ireland just now look tasty. Edit: Looks like that shower has pepped up big time , possible storm headed towards Livingston.

    Just had the squall line pass through here about 10 mins ago , intense rainfall and the sky went pitch black..no thunder or lightning unfortunatley.

    Things really getting going in Ireland just now , is that the front that will move West-East across the whole country ?

    Bit dissapointed in today in the fact it remains damp and cloudy ... need the sun to come through while there is still enough time for solar heating to occur. Even if we dont get anything today seen a good few strikes yesterday and some of the thunder was real loud.

    Sun just managed to burst through here , get rid of all this grey muck before all that stuff south of us gets here hopefully.

    Oh man .... do i ever , the best storm ive seen in my lifetime and probably wont see another like it. Im sure it lasted about 4 hours of constant lightning and thunder , moved away and another one moved in later..floods , power outages , the lot. Ahhh , the memories.

    Yeah i think they lose their energy when they cross the cold waters of the Irish sea. Could reinvigerate (spelling ?) when they reach land again though with all this humid and unstable air about. Hopefully it will be after dark , not seen a night time show for absolute years.

    Met-office already have warnings out for Thursday for my area , http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/st/st_forecast_warnings.html Or is that just the kiss of death , interesting times ahead though.

    Just spoke to my missus on the phone she was working in Cumbernauld today , massive storm she says , CG's all over the place .. massive booming thunder , lights flickering. Time that 'storm' got here it farted and died.

    Ach , that was rubbish ... thought it was gonna be a direct hit here and it just kinda fizzled away. Seen one good flash of lightning from it though and many loud rumbles , my appetite has been quenched for now.

    That mass of lightning just coming into the south of Denmark and Northern Germany must be the same system that moved through France last night, Watched it for about 15 mins on Earthcam Paris , live from the Eiffel Tower , what a show .. massive CG's and almost constant IC's .. i want some !!!

    LMAO , i was wondering where that name came from .. seen it on my FB Seriously though..getting pretty scary here , both my fences are looking a little shaky to say the least and the strongest of the winds have yet to come.

    What the eff man ?? what use is that to man nor beast. Anyone heard anything about SLC closing schools at all ? i was on their website but it hasnt been updated since Monday.

    Defo..i think its perfect timing for them coming out of school , and with the potential for tree branches and other debris flying about..im thinking no chance. Edit: Blizzard like conditions here atm. :/

    Hahhaahaa...he used my patter here comes this bad boy .. Seriously though..it is quite concerning now , seriously considering keeping my kids off school tomorrow as their safety is obv my priority.

    Would expect a Level 3 Estofex warning over us later on , or is that only usually for severe thunderstorm setups ?

    RED WARNING now issued for wind..but they forgot to colour in the map ?? lol Edit: its ok..they updated it.

    I would expect a RED warning for most of Scotland from the met-office for tomorrow ? that is one nasty bad boy of a LP system. Seen some lightning last night as well , only 1 flash though and it was quite distant..although someone else said on my FB it was on for ages.
