    Hoping to see some snow here in the next hour or so before it quickly turns to rain i presume. Temp has 'shot up' from -4c at 9am this morning to 4c already.

    End of July ?? Consider yourself lucky young man..this whole summer i have seen 1 yes thats not a typo ONE CG and 1 rumble of thunder..end of. Just glad i went to France on hols and caught a cracking lightning storm about 3am one morning...think ill move to where Jurgen stays.

    Had a couple of monsoon type rain showers here already today but nothing thundery so far. If we go through all summer with 1 single strike and rumble (all ive seen so far)..ill be seriously peed off.

    Few storms just NE and SE of here..Stirling Falkirk Alloa kinda area looks as though is getting hammered atm.

    Weather Advisory out for most of UK from meto for tommorow including my area. Just hope that dosent put the kiss of death on it.

    Same here..looking back on the radar there was some nice reds embedded in that rain band. But if there was any thunder or lightning i missed it !!!!!

    Anyone know if there was any thunder/lightning around my area about 2-2.30pm. Ive been stuck in A&E all afternoon with my wee girl and im sure i heard some thunder..just my luck if there was after waiting all week for it.

    The front out west looks more or less like a non event it keeps moving east then out back west its struggling to make land and weakning all the while. Only giving light/moderate rain atm so i think our chances have all but gone for today and the week..unless it intensifies as it finally moves west but the thing is it feels a lot cooler here atm and there is no sun with very high based cloud cover.

    Yet another tower has formed and is moving north just missing us again. The highlands seem to be catching all these showers today..although if the storms want to wait till its dark then thats fine by me.

    Hard to tell whats going on here..very warm and humid and very convective. Loads of towers shoot up and then just dissapear..looking at the radar we 'should' have something but so far there is nothing here.

    Heyyyyy afternoon Gaz mate..aye the thing im not happy about is its clouded right over no sunshine at all so when that precip gets here might just be rain. :lol: However with the humidity spose anythings possible..the next few hours will tell.

    I do hope that pulse of precip just off the west coast of Scotland will trigger things off as it moves East. Edit: Im sure i just heard a rumble :lol:

    Aye..what a week that was huh. According to my local weather station almost 116mm of rain has fallen so far this month.

    Flakes seem to be getting slighty bigger and heavier here. Another 3mm of this and the weans school will be shut for the rest of the week.

    Very nice Zoe...next time i get a TS im gonna try and take a pic of lightning...but as you say timing is everything.
