  1. had thunder and lightning last night that was not even forecast so expect the worst and hope for the best

yes i think it will be as its predicted path is the central belt of Scotland Glasgow and Edinburgh likely taking the worst of any damage or disruption

Yeah that was quite good about 5am this morning some good bright flashes and loud thunder..i seen Estofex had us under a level 1 but i wasnt expecting anything tbh..so it was a nice surprise.

Anyways back to Katia..i must say im a little scared of this storm system..i do love extreme weather..but this is different altogether,

  2. It's looking like a lively one, seems I may have missed out gale potential for the South though.

Personally, I don't think that will materialize. If it does it will be very nasty indeed. You would be looking at a sustained wind speed of 60mph. I think we should focus on Tuesday though, as it's more the amount of rain that warrants the warning rather than the wind. Friday is FI as far as I am concerned.

I hope not lol..my back fence is already hanging off from the last storm..still waiting on it getting fixed...thats the closest ive seen the isobars for a long time. :/

  3. I put it in the other thread. I was walking dogs at half 9 last night and I saw thw most amazing intercloud (as I was told it was) lightning display. There was something near Glasgow at the time apparently. Some of th flashes in that cloud was absolutely amazing

Darn it..cheers John never seen or heard a thing here..if id known there was something in the area i would have been out for a walk myself.
