  1. Grass got a good soaking. A couple of nice bangers in the last couple of minutes but, yeah, where's the crazy cliff-hanger, BB? Edit: Happy to have got that, to be honest, after things turned quiet for a while.
  2. Getting heavy rain here now at last and the frequency of thunder/lightning going up. Yeah - strange about the spherics (or lack of)
  3. Interesting. I'm seeing frequent lightning to the S/East of Bristol and there's something picking up down near Taunton, also. New echoes appearing on the last radar frame around Warminster / Bradford on Avon etc.
  4. Another small cell developing right overhead - and another over Thornbury. Nice to be sat in the cooling rain.
  5. Just saw lightning from it from 30 odd miles away - looks like it's growing over the channel now, too
  6. Fun, isn't it. My radar keeps crashing due to sheer amount of spherics appearing on it North of here.
  7. Got about 10 minutes of fat raindrops from it here in Winterbourne - looks very potent North of here heading into Chepstow/Forest of Dean area. Has cooled it down by a couple of degrees so that's nice
  8. First clap of thunder heard and looks like a hail core in Wooton-Under-Edge cell.
  9. Looks like it's expanding to its south side over the last couple of frames on the satellite and precip radars
  10. Saw very little of that action that came through squally and troughy today, mostly down south through Somerset, North Devon and across those hills, into Wilts etc. Getting a few showers now feeding off the Severn. Have good beer/gluten free pop this weekend, peeps, and look after yourselves.
  11. Saw a couple of CGs on this cam over last 10 mins - over to the left.
  12. Hearing a few rumbles here in Winterbourne. Quite an active cell heading N. Westwards towards the Severn
  13. Almost a Feb 2009esque super streamer on the latest radar. Not a streamer so much as orthogonal backfill. Haha those were the days
  14. The most exciting thing that's happened this year was the singular boom of thunder the other night that caused everyone in Bristol to think the Big One had been dropped.
