You should be fine in the AM, I would have thought. Edit: this is in terms of fresh falling snow, not progged to start falling until about midday. I don't know what conditions are like currently, but will probably be icy again tomorrow am.

18z Icon puts my area in the 1-5cm zone similar to Fergie's earlier forecast. Would be hoping for a bit more, to be honest AWD did warn earlier, also about a possible split front. (Was that the Icon 12Z? can't remember). It's all a nowcast anyway but at least we're in the centre of the game. This is accumulative snow totals out to 40hrs

You have better chance the further away from the coast you are. You also have 30 metres better altitude.

The Chinese is the best for miles around. The Frampton Balti doesn't seem as good as when it first started out, but then we get a decent curry at the Raj over here, so haven't been for ages.

I'm already off work Friday so will feel cheated if everybody else gets a free paid day off due to snow. Still beggars can't be choosers, could be our best/only shot of the winter.

LOL - I think my memory must be shot, I now remember we had to drive to St Ives a day late! However, the roads the following day seemed fine so I guess it wasn't particularly long-lasting so that's why it's not jogging my memory too much. (as well as escaping it down to Knocker country which was much milder)
