  1. This is fantastic that spinning low just keeps bringing the snow back to me. Not amazingly heavy but I can see this lasting for a few hours yet!
  2. YES!!! Come to Bristol!! I'm in Winterbourne and to be fair, it hasn't stopped since I got home at 18:00, albeit its been pretty light.
  3. Whatever happens - the latest radar (20:00) shows more precip building on the east side and heading back towards Bristol lol "SNAP!" BristolBlizzard
  4. According to gfs and Roger's post the low is progged to move NW??
  5. That seems to be the centre of the Low. If it starts to track North West we might be in luck in the Bristol area, although thats a bit of a long shot
  6. Looks like the heaviest of that stuff approaching Bristol will be to the south.
  7. I'm UWE too. Could be chaos getting out of here this evening with that lot about to dump on us
  8. Plenty more to come for Bristol, don't worry about that.
  9. Thanks for the info kernowman (nice nick!). I was just a bit worried about the temps down there. Looks like you should get some of the good stuff soon enough. Excellent news that even Cornwall is getting in on the action!
  10. Anyone know what the showers are doing down in Cornwall. I'm wondering if it will be snow in St Austell as I promised somebody it would be lol. Still coming down in North Bristol and plenty more to come by the looks of it in a few hours.
  11. Nice heavy snow here in Filton. Should be with us for a good hour. (And its intensifying!!)
  12. Excellent. Been on and off all morning - that looks more promising. Thanks for the update.
  13. Nothing yet for North Bristol and looking at the radar - all the good stuff is heading south of me. Might get a few flakes later - hope the precipitation looks better in the morning.
  14. ECM 12z showing a fantastic northerly at T+144. This should be a great week for the UK and Eire in general.
  15. I think with the current wind direction, anything hitting Norwich will pretty much hit Bristol if it makes it this far. Trouble is there is a great big gap in the showers for that area at the moment. Still its early days for us, but would be nice to see a few flakes tonight before the real stuff comes tomorrow.
  16. Thanks for the thread, both JohnHolmes and PeggySue. Very enlightening. I also struggle somewhat with 3D visualisations of what the airmasses are doing so any further help/pointers to links would be appreciated. D.
