  1. We've just had a 20min period of hazy cloud cover here in South London. It's burnt back again now, be interesting to see if this continues throughout the day or not. No cloud is forecast on any weather site for around here all day (at present!), the temperature difference for that 20mins was noticeable even indoors! The skies are presently a more white colour than clear blue too.
  2. Randomly the cloud has bobbled up here already (not a sign for the rest of the day I hope!), the sun is breaking though it, but the pure blue skies have gone! Seems to be blue skies behind it, but equally some more cloud behind that!
  3. Bright, sunny and (slightly) colder start to yesterday. Seems a similar sort of day to yesterday, highs slightly down on yesterday of around 10c. I notice the forecasts are showing us picking up a slightly stronger NE/E wind has the day goes on which seems to strengthen into tomorrow which I presume is why there's more cloud in the forecast from tomorrow. Next week seems a bit topsy-turvy right now, yesterday Wednesday looked mild (if cloudy) but noticed the overnight change in forecast is now showing rain!
  4. Bright and sunny start to the day after a far cooler night, currently 0.5c which is down 1.5c on this time yesterday. Seems to be a mixture of forecasts for around here today, some going for similar to yesterday - sunny all day, cold start, decent mid-afternoon, temps dropping off into the evening - and a couple of others suggesting there might be some more cloud floating around by lunchtime. With the cooler start to the day I would expect it might be slightly cooler max today too. We seem to be picking up a strengthening NE/E breeze by mid-afternoon too? MO suggesting 10mph or so 'gusts' just after lunch.
  5. Lovely day in the sun here now. Bright blue skies, with the odd white cloud here and there. Contrasting temperatures mind, the nearest weather station seems to say its around 10c, my sensor in the garden which has been in the shade all day was barely reading 7.5c at 12.30pm, but it feels warmer (obviously!) in the direct sunlight.
  6. Bright, clear blue skies but a chilly start, barely reading 1c in the garden. Will be a couple of days of a house of two halves where the front gets all the sun all day and will be pleasant but the back and the garden will likely remain chilly in the shade.
  7. Drizzle has gone. Sun is trying its best but I would say probably too much cloud about, especially as this time yesterday was when the cloud started to build after a clear-ish morning. Light wind, probably in the region 10-11c.
  8. Pretty much on queue, light drizzly stuff for the last 30mins or so, looks like it might last a couple of hours.
  9. Cloudy and calm compared to previous days. About 10c at present, a small chance of drizzle all day it seems, not much sun forecasted and 10c is probably the best we're going to get.
  10. The clouds came, but where chased away by the sun for a few hours, but seemingly now the day is (slowly) on it's way out the clouds have won the battle. Still breezy, cooler inside now the sun isn't coming in through the windows. I would guess its probably somewhere between 12-13c
  11. Intermittent clouds, very light drizzle about 20mins ago. Feels lovely in the sun, noticeably cooler in the shade/breeze. Was 14.4c in the garden about an hour ago. I guess this is what you call a typical spring day (In February!)
  12. Ah, so another Monday episode potentially happening with rain appearing from no-where! I have noticed the BBC have a shower cloud overhead now for the next hour or so.
  13. Cloud has slowly built throughout the morning, the sun is still peaking though the increasing cloud levels. Unsure what the actual temperature is as at work, but would probably say around 13c, still breezy. Radar is showing rain around too - surely that's not accurate?
  14. Blue skies one way, clouds building the other. Breezy, 11.8c. All forecasts seem to suggest we’ll be covered by cloud in the next couple of hours.
  15. Sunny Intervals seems to be the best(?) way to describe it so far, the Met have 'downgraded' their forecast since my last post to come in line with the BBC and to reflect that there is seemingly more cloud around. Lovely day for February mind, pity I'm back at work! Met still seem set on a cool down by the weekend, as does the NW forecast.
  16. Morning all. Hazy start to the day, still damp after yesterday’s un-forecasted heavy rain. 8c, slight chill in the air, breeze is picking up. Forecast suggests today will be the sunnier day, MO has blue skies, BBC say sunny spells. Tomorrow looks warmer, but cloudier before it seems to get brighter but cooler towards the weekend.
  17. Heavy rain has stopped here now, sun tried but failed. Very wet again, but very humid too, very un-February like.
  18. The 'rain that will get lighter as it moves SE' is currently pouring, there goes my afternoon walk! As posted above, seems to be a couple of 'warmer' days ahead, although Wednesday seems to show the 'warmer' weather further north now and we're sitting on 13c here, then sunnier days but cooler nights, NW's forecast has it near to or below 0c toward the weekend overnight / early morning.
  19. Cloudier start, cloudier day today it seems. Currently 10.1c in the garden with a gentle breeze. Final day off today, back to work tomorrow (education!) then seemingly back fully on the 8th March!
  20. Has the wind changed direction? Just seems a little cooler than it was 90mins ago when I started my walk? Still very pleasant for a February day mind!
  21. The cloud radar seems to its moving NW, (blowing up from the South) there seems to be a bit of a break on the radar showing so we might get an hour or so of sunnier skies soon, which is good as I'm about to go out on my walk, it's brighter now for sure. Does seem to be more cloud crossing the channel heading this way tho! Maybe the MetOffice got it right after all! We where a bit on the edge of it yesterday too, we had sunnier periods, the odd light shower too, seems similar today that a few more miles east and it would be clearer!
  22. Slowly crept up to 13.5c in the garden, still predominately cloudy. MetOffice hasn't updated (so still shows blue skies), BBC showing cloudy all day now, NW's latest update suggests a small clearer period but on the cloudier side.
  23. 10.10am Mostly cloudy, with the odd small break with thicker cloud. Less breeze than yesterday, a steady 12.5c. More of the same expected today, cloud might thin a but during the early afternoon but expected to increase again from mid-afternoon.
  24. Would fog/mist start becoming a player under these cooler nights? I mean it was pleasant yesterday in these parts, but I didn't remove my jacket during my walk yesterday afternoon. Seems we're in for some typical late-Feb / Early March weather, cold mornings/evenings with decent afternoons - where the fog/mist stays away.
  25. After a warm night for February, it's a hazy start to the day, sun breaking (slowly) through the predominantly cloudy skies. The radar seems to show more cloud around today, lighter winds too so might not blow around as much(?). Most forecasts seem to show more cloud around today, apart from the MO which show it to be clear around here for a few hours in the early afternoon, but I guess that could change. Edit: Saying that the MO has now reduced the 'clear skies' from 12-4 to now 1-3, so seems to be falling into line with NW and the BBC.
