Disappearing under this blizzard

Not bad here , probably around a couple of inches. Very blowy snow though. Showers seem to be passing to the north of us at times, think we’re missing the worst of it for now. Kids are off (they are mighty happy) and getting ready to go outside ! Great stuff !!

Snow still on but it’s very much graupel and not big flakes , having said that a nice complete covering estimate 1cm at best

Nice snow grains falling now on the dog walk. Also a wee peek at the lammermuirs before the next band of snow comes in . And as it is now , more heavy bursts of snow grains mixed with snow flakes.

Not a lot happening here yet in this wee corner of East Lothian, still awfy sunny , only had 3 wee showers all day so far. Snaw has all melted from earlier. Getting twitchy ??? On the the plus side it’s blooming freezing and mair cloud about, coming in on the breeze. Time for a dog walk to see if I can catch a snaw shower ??

It’s snowing again , lots of wee flakes, intensity during showers is lovely. Great signs of things to come.

Omg! The excitement builds !!! That amber warning surely will become a red. Yikes up to 40cm. I cannie really think of the last time we had huge snowdrifts along our local roads here, I’m thinking early eighties 85? (although we did have a short lived easterly dumping in 2000 ish (Edinburgh had a lot less snow, but mid and East Lothian were battered) I couldn’t get into work in Midlothian from Edinburgh .

Thank you for this, shall take a measure from the old ootside table (when’s official measuring day ?) i have no clue what to expect tomorrow, kinda feel little mention of Scotland in the recent forecasts except the 10-20cm mention , otherwise all England centric sadly. However i’ll stick in here fir mair precise info??. Snaw blawin in the wind all morning and the wind has definitely picked up a bit, feeling Baltic withoot my gloves on. Cold, no snow. Grey start to the day. Huge excitement of watching this unfold now, off out for supplies etc lol Hard to comprehend the depth of cold and snow to come !

So exciting, couldn’t keep it any longer - I’ve told my kids, who are now 10 & nearly 16 lol ? they still look at me like are u sure we can get the sledge out , oh I think so my dears ??? charts are all bonkers, can’t quite work out ideas of snow amounts but I’ll just sit back and enjoy I think.

@Hawesy I love your predictions . I think we need to combine with the table pics SS! Photo below shows my last fall - @hawesy predicted 1cm . As im not many many miles from the coast or the hills , It’s looking so fabulous! Ls nice to have you back. I love Sweden , hope you’re loving it too. Although ive been married 18 years ? eek!
