  1. Must have been cold last night, there’s ice on the Marine lake, which is sea water.
  2. Been out diving down the west of the wirral quite a lot of rain falling, not sure if this would be snow inland. The car was showing 1c. Lots of slushy stuff between Heswall an WK
  3. He made it into a turn off to some housing further down the prom, got lucky. Here's the full image.
  4. This fella had an interesting drive home earlier today...
  5. Pretty big tide in WK, on its way out now. Not as bad as 2013 flood damage, but the wind is still picking up.
  6. Just googled 2013, the tide was forecast as a 9.9m that day, it's 9.17 tomorrow so may be not as bad for flooding? Could be interesting to watch from the new café above the sailing centre, if its open... https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g1076966-d23558687-r803408829-The_Sail_Loft_Coastal_Kitchen-West_Kirby_Wirral_Merseyside_England.html
  7. Yes, looks like back up to 90-100mph bang on high tide, could be a bit scary on New Brighton prom
  8. The gusts could be 70-80 and the wind direction funnels then down the estuaries, would not right this off yet.
  9. Still looking bad for the coasts, not getting the really high 100mpg gusts originally forecast, only down to 70 and 80mph now coinciding with spring tides for Merseyside around 12pm. Suppose it could all change...
  10. Scary, big 9m high tide is at 12pm on the Wirral, could be spectacular at New Brighton
  11. The Marine lake is down the end of the road, has to be a North Westerly to get WK and we have never flooded. The houses on the prom get hit and if it stays like this I would avoid the car park if you are down for a blast.
  12. 100 mph gusts off the the N.Wales and N.W English coasts forecast this morning, also large 9m tides for Hilbre Island. Looks like it will be a nice broad reach down the wall at WK, if there’s anything remaining of it when the tide turns…
  13. Potentially devastating winds for N.Wales and NW coasts on Friday, also at the same time as some large tides.
  14. This was in 2013 near Morrisons you can find a video on YouTube, this was the worst most recent storm, before then there was one in 1990 that destroyed the outdoor pool which was roughly were those cars are parked. A decent sized tide and blow that has some north in it are the key ingredients…
  15. This could be our 1mm, it’s blowing around a lot with a few bits gathing in the gutters
