    Im joining up in protest after at least 2 thunder storms blew over today. So close but yet so far, sat here and listened to the distant rumbles that could have been just over our head if the wind had not been so strong. Dull grey clouds overhead and nothing interesting as far as the eye can see ( in east anglia the eye can see a very long way) Janet

    Well we have had some rain . . . lasted less than 5 minutes and seems to have nearly dried on the ground already. Temperature is 15c now disappointed as we have been so close that storm into norfolk blew over us 10 minutes before developing. Oh well Janet

    Im about 10 miles from it . . . heavy rain, thunder and lightening in downham market but noting where I am which is only 5 miles from downham Janet

    I cannot believe that mass of dark cloud that went over head is now someone else's storm!! I can hear it rumble in the distance sounds like its quite nasty too by the rumbles I can hear Its only about 5 miles away Janet

    Wind picked up here just before 3pm and blew the dark clouds right over us Temperature has dropped to 19c and the sun is out again Can still see the dark clouds at the back of the house but aside from 2 big drops nothing happened Janet

    Temperature has dropped 3 degress in the past minute. Dark grey clouds in the distance but i really dont think this is going to have any thunder. Hope this isnt it for us here Janet

    Still very warm here currently showing 24c . . . no scrub that just dropped to 23c Dark grey clouds to the west but nothing that looks like a storm still. 10 miles south of Kings Lynn so not far from a coast line just starting to doubt if we are going to see anything today Janet

    Quite warm and humid here with temperatures around 23c but slowly rising Cloud currently building in every direction I can see but blue sky right above us. Janet

    Been snowing here since 3pm and settling on the roads since 4pm Temp -1 at the moment Best stop snowing soon tho supposed to be going away on saturday!! Janet

    We had very heavy snow for about 2 hours last night but looks like it turned to rain in the early hours as all the snow that was on the road etc has now gone. Temp now 2.2c with some drizzle from time to time. Have heard we may get snow again today what do people think?? Janet

    Snowing quite heavy now but still looks rather wet. Wonder what the chances of a white scene in the morning are?? Janet

    Just started snowing here very light at the moment didnt think it would turn to snow tbh but snowing it is just a matter of waiting now to see if any stays around Janet

    Im on the cambs/west norfolk border and have no snow yet but as those around us do I am going to do some watching . . . being in the middle of nowhere means there are not many street lights to watch tho so have to use my own electric tut Janet

    Been raining here since 12.30pm but in the past 2 hours its really chucking it down. Temp around 1.8c but no texture to the rain at all. If it started snowing I dont think it would stand a chance of settling although saying that there is still quite a bit of snow in our back garden from Thursday. Janet

    sleet here has been falling for over an hour and getting heavier but not sticking to anything and considering how wet it is . . . should it turn to snow i doubt it will stick Janet

    Just got rain here with a temp of 1c Dont really want anymore snow though . . . roads are clear as it didnt freeze much last night but pavements are deadly Janet

    Nooooooooo I really dont want any more snow . . . got weekend plans and my poor sis is traveling up from Luton tomorrow afternoon. So if someone could stop any snow clouds coming in this direction it would be great. Rain clouds I can deal with still have a few inches of lying snow on the ground but roads are just about clear at last. Janet

    A few pics . . . road runs alongside water with no barrier, compacted snow on the road so its pretty dangerous out there at the moment janet

    81 schools closed in Norfolk most in Lynn or to the west of it.

    Got about 4 inches here, something falling out of the sky looks more like icy rain. Schools closed will attempt to post some photos later. Janet

    still sleet here very light . . . no scrub that getting a little bigger n looks slightly like snow but will have to chuck it down to have any coverage as most of the paths are almost clear of snow. Whats the chances of anything heavy up here now???

    snizzle here for over half an hour . . . temp up to 1c looks like our snow is officially over as things are melting pretty fast. :lol:

    Gone to yellow again looks like they cant make their mind up . . oh well will just have to wait and see what happens would like to see a bit more snow today . . . fingers crossed
