  1. Weather-history remember it well.snowed all day here.those were the days
  2. Sorry to trouble you Paul, please can you clarify that I'm in the correct forum or should I go south east. Thankyou
  3. Again didn't come on here to argue. I just stated a fact of all the times we have had snow on the ground down here in the last 15 years let alone all the times before. Yes I'm fully aware snow on the ground is different to a long freeze up which I agree there haven't been many of those over the years. No more comment from me as I seem to be upsetting people by reassuring that it has snowed lots of times even on the south coast and it will do again no matter what the models are showing
  4. Apologies continental climate. Yes on my way you've been on here donkey years as I have been in the background from the very start in which case I should have had more respect for your opinion and I certainly picked on the wrong one of what I was trying to say and all the negative constant comments about its never going to happen I know you're not one of those once again I apologize
  5. Not at all that's not what I meant and our apologise if it came across like that. I was talking about the constant every six hours it's never going to happen and the people talking as if it's never happened before. Anyway didn't come on to argue came on to add a bit of positive thoughts and reassure younger generation That's Happened lots of times before and it will happen again
  6. I'm sorry but I really think we need to stop this it's not going to happen with every run that comes out. I can only guess it is the younger generation that is constantly saying it's never going to happen because I have lived in Portsmouth all my life and I have lost count the amount of times I have seen snow on the ground frozen ponds even the sea frozen 2 or 3 times. Admittedly a lot of the snowy spells I can recall were back in the 70s and 80s but I have photos of proper snowfall in portsmouth 08/09/10/11.jan and March 13.Feb and March 18. All this in Portsmouth on the south coast we're supposedly it never snows lol. Believe me it's happened lots of times in the past and looking at the current models I have no doubt whatsoever it's going to happen again yes even here on the south coast
  7. Hi,CF,had it here (Portsmouth)Jan 03.heavy rain turned to heavy snow in no time had 2 inch snow in less than an hr if I recall correctly. Amazing seeing the lighting light the snow covered landscape as it was evening time.hope you get to experience it soon
  8. Sorry man with beard. I'm not calling you a mob lol unfortunately the only way I can join in these conversations is by talk texts which regularly comes out with the wrong words
