Amazing. Started snowing again in the evergreen county at 0905. Metar - S/W `12005 3kts, Snow, Vis 1000m, 8/8 1000. Lovely! Long may it continue.

Left weather actual, where it should be, but, just to let people know - Oxfordshire got dumped on! 4ins easy. Even Abingdon received the same. Stopped snowing at 1100am, now starting again, but very light, OAT -1c. No thaw -
Witney, Oxfordshire. Continual snow since approx 0230am. 1100 and snow has stopped. A rare event indeed. Even Abingdon received snow. Sitrep: Eastly wind, approx 6kts, Vis - 1000m and rising, Recent Snow, Cloud - Overcast at 800ft, Snow depth - 4ins, 8ins in drifts. Not seen this much snow since 1987.

One thing is for certain, the front will spilt into two and completely miss Oxfordshire. Or just to rub it in RAIN!

Cannot answer for Abingdon, but Witney - 11miles NW of Abingdon had approx 1/2 inch this am. Have a feeling I have put this in the wrong string!

Heavy showers of Rain, Sleet, Snow and Hail. All the way from Oxford, Bicester, Aylesbury, Wing, Dunstable and Luton. Yep, you've guessed it lousy drive in to work.

What's all this talk about cold and snow and sledging? Can someone explain what snow is again to me, I would be grateful. Just don't seem to get anything in Oxfordshire except rain.
