    Bah humbug! Lol, to be honest, I’m a bit meh about the forecasts! looks like a chilly spell rather than a cold spell, and jam is still at T240 more cold rain on sodden surfaces come on festive weather fans, convince me otherwise! Lol Merry Christmas one and all!

    Don’t get me wrong, I would love deep cold and snow events.... I was merely wondering should we water down our expectations for the next week?

    Hmmm, surface temps t 72 onwards not as low as modelled a few days ago and again, ppl are starting to focus on the mythical t240, even when a cold/cool snap/spell was forecast for 24th onwards, are we subtley downgrading our cold expectations over time?

    I forget each year what a struggle it is to get my brain into gear to try and understand the model thread. There's such a plethora of terms , nuances and details (and in my case basic knowledge) that takes 3 months to remember - by the time I can understand 10% of the model thread, it's spring and I hibernate again I really should start thinking about re learning the science in the height of summer lol
