    Cirrus, I had -8.5c in Ellenbrook @ 6am today, still showing -3.7c at present.

    The briefest of snow showers in Preston, looks like a bit more on the way further towards Manchester from the MO rainfall radar.

    I'm off to Avoriaz on the 23rd Jan for a week so I'm praying for good snow on the Portes Du Soliel as well. Avoriaz had a good fall a few weeks ago, but then temps in the 20's put paid to an early base. There have fresh falls yesterday & overnight with some more to come, but with a Fohen wind forecast over the weekend I wouldn't be suprised to see bare slope by Monday! That said it's still early and if Avoriaz is anyting like last season all will be well!
