Snizzle here, about 1 cm of lying snow..
The intensity of the precipitation here is pathetic.
-
Nothing but snizzle here, only a mere 1cm of snow at the moment.. woo!
-
Fantastic night with lots of snow, easily 3 inches lying still.
Looking forward for a walk up the Berwyn Pass tomorrow, there's well over 7 inches lying at the highest ground.
Temperature currently -0.4C
-
Heavy, powdery snow here.
Around 1-2 inches lying, temperature currently -0.9C
-
Nice, big proper snow flakes falling now.
We're easily going to see 1-2 inches from this, on top of the previous snow from Saturday night, could well amass 3 inches!
-
WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS STUPID WEATHER
0.1C AND ITS RAINING!!!!!!
It will definitely turn to snow when the heavier precipitation moves in, give it time!
-
Snowing very lightly here, -1.4C
-
Very little in the way of thawing here, an inch of snow still remains from saturday night.
Temperature -1.1C
-
Just noticed also, snow being reported in North Wales!!
It's bone dry here at the moment, we had a brief snow shower around 6:30pm.
There isn't really significant snowfall around N/E Wales so far into this cold spell, around here we've had 1.5 inches, the horseshoe pass hasn't really faired much better with around 3 inches.
Ah well, I suppose it's better than nothing, as we still have alot of lying snow!
-
..............and back to rain again......I've think the weather gods have been smoking those Jamaican Woodbines again!
Same thing happened here, started out as snow and then alternated back and forth between snow and rain, my guess is that there are massive fluctuations in the upper air temperatures as the cold air is undercutting.
-
Fun night for us in North Wales, the precipitation is turning increasingly to snow at all levels.
-
Keeps alternating between wet snow and sleet here.
Temperature has dropped back down to 1.3C, seems to be dropping away slowly now, seems to be settling on the grass.
-
Rain has now turned fully back to snow, temperature 1.1C!
-
Haha, this is remarkable.
The temperature has just fallen back down to 1.7C and it's turning back to snow.
I love these setups, they're fun to predict.
-
Poor forecast, if you have altitude you will be fine, otherwise say goodbye to all that snow!
It started off as snow here, the temperature has now shot up to 3.1C.
Unfortunately, it turned to rain about 5 minutes ago, despite living nearly 200m ASL.
-
Heavy wet snow/sleet here, it's readily turning to rain!
Temperature 1.9C
YAY!
-
It's now 1.9 C here with wet snow falling, not that optimistic.
I'm guessing it's falling as rain nearer to the coast and at lower altitudes.
-
Strange, it was snowing lightly earlier on and now it's turned to sleet/rain.
Thawing the snow nicely, bring on the SUMMER!
-
thing is, people are so disappointed if it doesnt snow in their area, and yet if they were that bothered they only have to travel about 40 miles or so to see some very decent snow falls.maybe an inconvenience, but if your that bothered and well worth it trip IMO. Llangollen was great for slegding on sat/sunday and is only an hours drive if that from liverpool.
Yeah, I live in Llangollen.
We've had pretty decent snow all last week, with a nice depth.
I'm afraid to say that I don't think we will see much in the way of snow with this system, possibly a little sleet or light snow that won't amount to much at all. I think the general thaw of our snow is about to begin
-
Sleety wintry mix has just started here, although very light.
This should be falling as light snow higher up
-
I wonder will we get some more snow?
We still have 2-3 inches lying around on fields and slush on the roads, everything seems to be thawing now though.
Temperature has now risen to 1.1C and the dew point is 0.8C, really dense fog moved in about an hour ago.
If we do get any precipitation within the next few hours, my guess here is that it would be sleety/wet snow at the most.
-
Temperature slowly rising here, now up to 0.9C.
We still have 2-3 inches of snow on the ground, it is slowly starting to thaw though.
One thing I should point out, is that there is dense fog around us now, extending up to about 400m ASL.
The due point is only at 0.4C, I think if any precipitation arrives here now, it would probably be on the sleety/wet snow side.
-
What are the prospects for where I am, (North-East Wales)
I am aware that areas like Powys and south will get some form of precipitation, but will the snow extend this far north?
-
We had a period of heavy snow too, left about a 1cm or two around, mainly slush on the main roads, nothing that spectacular here.
It probably added 2-3cm to the already lying snow.

I'm about 10 miles away from you and we've got a similar story here at the moment, nothing but light snow grains.
We've got about 1.5cm of snow lying here now, I'm sure you will accumilate at least an inch of snow within the next 12 hours and it could amount to more as tomorrow progresses!
Have hope!
