  1. I can confirm the touch down of what looks like an upper F2 tornado in west London. I will add a damage report once I retreat from my storm shelter.
  2. Once again it appears to be a total let down for the south east!!! There is a huge cell around the Heathrow airport which looks like it is going to break through soon and give North west London onwards a hammering!!
  3. Woah, it's roasting down in Antarctica - it's only -40C up on the ice sheet when the June average for the south pole is -65C edit: or, just perhaps, the scale doesn't go down low enough? There is certainly a big +ve anomaly though over Antarctica....
  4. Looking at the latest metoffice visible satellite, is that a polar low that I can see forming off the north coast of Scotland? http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/satpics/latest_uk_vis.html
  5. Low of 18.2C in London overnight - the temperature has been dropping there since sun rise as the cold front has moved over. Now only 14.9C. Here, on the outskirts, however, it is already 18C with wall to wall sunshine, but the cold front is now visible off to my north.
  6. I'm guessing that it will be the hottest day of the year so far in many Southern areas (if no cloud bubbles up).
  7. I apologise - It looks like it's going to be a record breaking summer for Northern Ireland with temperatures of 40C at times not out of the question.
  8. No storm potential in Northern Ireland, sorry.
  9. Where do you get your data from? I highly doubt that on the 1st of June under a northerly wind, you have come within 1 degree of the all time highest temperature in Northern Ireland (30.8C).
  10. Just had the lightest shower ever, lasting about 30 seconds - massive raindrops though... edit: ok, it looks like convection is now dead for my part of the country - only standard small cumulus are passing by now. Good luck to anyone, perhaps around Southampton area as that looks like the best area, with the highest temperatures etc.
  11. Definitely not humid at all only 33% RH here! edit: Looks like there's a localised downpour in south east London on the radar: http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar...;soort=loop1uur
  12. I can confirm what looks like a relatively wide rain band underneath one of the large cells in South-West London.
  13. Many well developed capped Cumulus that could potentially develop.
  14. 19C Partly Cloudy 0mph Wind 42% Humidity
  15. It may well be possible tomorrow - seeing as we topped 25C today, and tomorrow will likely start a degree or so warmer.
  16. 25C Clear 5mph Easterly Wind 25% Humidity
  17. 22C Clear 6mph Easterly Wind 32% Humidity
  18. 20C Clear 5mph Easterly Wind 34% Humidity Already 24C down in Paris Is ridging trying to occur over the Midlands? Take a look at this: http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
  19. 18C Clear 37% Humidity 3mph Easterly Wind
  20. I think Sunday has the likelihood of juicing a 24C perhaps, then the real chance of some decent temperatures is when the second high ridges in next week. Later next week looks like a good bet for a chance of 80F.
  21. Looking increasingly likely that it will be broken next week in the south
  22. What are the specs of your current camera i.e. zoom magnitude, other features etc. The one you posted has 18x optical zoom which is really good (much more than most digital cameras) I'm not an expert though so i'm sure other people may have better advice.
  23. Is it just me or did Rob Mcelwees forecast show a max of 7C in London on Friday??!!!!
