  1. Low of 18.2C in London overnight - the temperature has been dropping there since sun rise as the cold front has moved over.

    Now only 14.9C.

Here, on the outskirts, however, it is already 18C with wall to wall sunshine, but the cold front is now visible off to my north.

  2. well i have! to tell the truth many others have too if you look at a few people they have reached 27c! By the way do you not realise that the weather reports are always usually wrong?

I apologise - It looks like it's going to be a record breaking summer for Northern Ireland with temperatures of 40C at times not out of the question.

  3. well its sunny and 28c after a max of 29.5c and there is a temperature of 30c in the town!

Where do you get your data from?

I highly doubt that on the 1st of June under a northerly wind, you have come within 1 degree of the all time highest temperature in Northern Ireland (30.8C).

  4. Just had the lightest shower ever, lasting about 30 seconds - massive raindrops though...

edit: ok, it looks like convection is now dead for my part of the country - only standard small cumulus are passing by now.

Good luck to anyone, perhaps around Southampton area as that looks like the best area, with the highest temperatures etc.

I'm sure everyone has gathered this by now, but anyway its now official:

    21 May 2009

The Late Spring bank holiday weekend weather could see the highest temperatures of the year so far.

Met Office forecasters are predicting that the best of the weekend weather will be over parts of England and Wales, although Northern Ireland and Scotland will also see some bright and sunny conditions at times.

The best days of the long weekend are expected to be Saturday and Sunday, when maximum temperatures in the south could reach a warm 24 °C.

Frank Saunders, Chief Forecaster, said: "Although there will be plenty of fine weather to enjoy this weekend, bank holiday Monday looks rather more uncertain, with the chance of showers".

For those on holiday through the half-term week, more dry and bright weather is expected, especially in southern regions where temperatures are likely to remain on the warm side.
