5 inches? You can add all 3 events together, you know. I am in Downend and if you add it up, it's:
Monday night....2"
Wednesday night.....4"
Thursday night/Friday......4"
Total for Downend is 10 inches!
In my part of Stroud at 125 metres we had:
Monday 2"
Tuesday 2"
Wednesday 4"
Thursday 6"
Total 14" - the most I've seen in 22 years here. Even more at higher levels above the town.

Add some attachments when adding a reply. Browse for a file, and click upload. Make sure they are smallish files though, because the max upload is 1 MB.
Or upload them with photobucket or another photo host.
Thanks! Watch this space .....eventually!

I went for a walk earlier with two fo the kids.
Lovely pics Tribe. I'd put some of my own on but unsure how to do it as yet.

Snowing harder here now, i think the windscreen of my car has a covering
Temperature holding at +0.9 at 375ft (old money) in Stroud. Either snow needs to intensify or temperature to fall a little more for it to really settle well.

we had a party on here in the early hrs.now another one
I MUST CALM DOWN.........in all of my yrs 42.of them...I cant remember snow after snow after snow in 5 days
You wern't around in 1963. I was at school in the North Cotswolds and even I got fed up with the amount of snow - after three months! It was still under the hedges in May. I remember walking down the main road on the tops of cars and scraping down to see if anyonewas inside. Honest. Drifts up to telegraph wires and up to the bedroom window. God, this makes me feel old!

Yup very light and it's started in the last 2 minutes
Yeah I agree, its just starting to snow in Stroud where I am. Temp. +0.9 but expect this to start falling now the snow has arrived.
Looks like another day off school tomorrow if that radar can continue nudging northwards!

I'm allready home'i work in the schools
Snap! I've not had to go to school once this week! Out in North Cotswolds so you can imagine wehat it's like uop there.

Isn't it last night's snow starting to slip south again, rather than a new pulse coming up from the south?
Can anybody tell me how to add a photo, to save me reading the instructions?
-
Hmmm. South East snow tonight showing much further north and west on latest BBC weather - almost Bristol. Somerset looked in the zone!

Few v small flakes now. By the way - I can't remember the last time that we had four days running where ALL precipitation fell as snow!
Its a winter wonderland up here now. Still chucking it down.
PS Does nobody have to go to work in the morning?
-
You joking, it's Stroud! Not the most normal town... Looking at the precip charts looks like a dry period coming then a chance of more following - still good at mo. Live on town end of Slad Rd, you near?
Thrupp Lane - a nightmare to get the car out in snow. OK once onto London Road. Just heard the BBC Glos forecast which says "snow becoming very heavy overnight"
-
How long is this taking to arrive??! Been waiting ages, still nothing by the lamppost.
How heavy where you are, dogs?
Brilliant snow here in Stroud. Heavy now with everything covered, including the trees. Should soon be in Cheltenham

Although not blizzard, heaviest snow I've seen in Stroud area this winter so far at mo, everything going steadily white that isn't already. Please no rain! How's the cold air from the north progressing this way, anyone know??
Sorry, I meant "another day off!"

I didn't think there was anybody else like me in Stroud! Yes, been snowing moderately here for 20 minutes or so now. I work in a school and it's beginning to look like another day tomorrow!

10/10! Sorry I've only just read this but I was brought up in Chipping Norton and true to form, my mum has phoned today to say that it's almost a foot deep and the most she has seen since 1963. Perhaps you should join the forecasting team?!
