Had some heavy showers earlier this afternoon - I think there was some thunder somewhere in the North East earlier too. -

Unsure what the weather will bring here in the North East. Managed to get my washing out on the line for now. May need to bring it in soon though -
Still raining steadily, fairly heavy big drops. The lower cloud base has broken up to reveal the rain falling from higher up. Looks like things have gone mad over Scotland and fairly occasionally across the north Pennines and Northumberland.

Looking rather messy on the radar, looks like I will have to start watching what happens from the south rather than the east this afternoon.

I agree, I saw more lightning during the snowstorms of Nov and Dec of last year, oddly even more lightning than I did during the summer.

Raining here with moderate to heavy bursts; certainly the garden is getting a good soaking

Tipping it down here - but unsure if I will get thunder. I know there is some thunder activity in the north sea though.
