    Looks like it maybe quiet for quite some time.... i hope that organised band to the north doesnt just slide south east down the east coast and back out to the north sea

    Skys clearing here now in Irvine...no real snow over the last hour, snow seems to peter out over Arran and the Dalry hills.

    Been snowing in Irvine on and off since 6ish....giving a covering of an inch. Looking out due North from my study its very grey and dark and i am unable to make out the hills near Dalry...i would suggest that snow is likely on and off for most of the day.

    Yeah i thought it would have been a very light snow event with a dusting for some favoured places.. the initial band looked very narrow early this afternoon my only guess is that it gained a lot of moisture heading over sea and become pretty unstable hitting the cold air.. it seems not to be stuck over the central belt not moving at all, think this may last a while yet on and off

    yes seems to have eased off for now maybe the system may tilt back our way or maybe some showery activity coming in...

    Snow virtually off at the mo.. just a few tiny flakes falling. Hope this is not the end....

    Snowing here in Irvine... very small flakes, think this will continue on and off for a good few hours, tho i reckon only a couple of cm will be achieved.. whats the snow chance for this week..? IMO looks like another coolish week with snow unlkely in the west...... any comments..??
