Rubbish weather and even if we get a winter with snow we will have to probably stay in because of this thing going around that I don’t like to mention we will be in tier 304 by then
Are schools and uni’s still open in tier 304 and will we be able to buy grit and snow shovels

Yeah hail here as well

After last winter’s efforts, even a few days with snow on the ground would be an improvement.
Pretty sure it’s the first time in the 24 years we have lived in our present house where I didn’t have to clear snow off the drive once.

No science behind it but I think this winter Is going to be another one with plenty of rain and less in the way of dry frosty and, dare I say snowy days.
it seems to be the annoying default setting these days and although I’d love to be proved wrong, I can’t see it.

Still raining although it looks like the heaviest is starting to pull away from here now.
hopefully tomorrow will be better but unless your collecting water to bottle and sell, today has been one for the bin.
time to open a bottle of red

What a vile afternoon. Pretty much going dark an hour ago. Got a stew almost done in the slow cooker washed down with some ale. Certainly a night for a hearty meal.
If Monday is as gloomy as today I’ll be driving home in the dark through to late February.
what a frightening thought.

I’ve only got as far as opening the back door for the dogs but looking outside it’s windy and the rain is heading in. The radar shows some good squall lines further down the country so hopefully we’ll get one as the front goes through
Yep it’s a wet, windy and miserable day in these parts.
hopefully a bit better later and tomorrow.

Got rain here quite heavy at times not much you can do in this weather mind there’s not much you can do in this country at the moment
Aye a poor morning with a bit of an improvement this afternoon but still felt cold.
to be honest I thought we have had two poor rainy days but this morning’s BBC forecast told me that yesterday was a dry and pretty decent day across the country.
i nearly spit my Tescobix out but there again why should the national weather forecast be any less London centric that everything else

Drizzly day
Torrential drizzle here for much of the day
Proper tropical bouncing drizzle at times

Yes, it was really fine, you couldn't tell it was drizzling unless you noticed it against a dark background, the stuff that clings to you in seconds. As you say, the stuff that soaks you through. Not a fan of these damp grey days, mild too, garden thermometer sat at 10° for most of the day . Bring on a few nice crisp sharp frosts.
Hopefully plenty of them this year along with some snow although they were both in short supply last winter, even at my altitude.

Tis a grey morning here, I can go one better, got fine drizzle too.
Not fine drizzle, nothing worse than that fine stuff that soaks you through

Grey morning
It sure is but I do like this time of year when the trees are changing colour and the leaves are all over the ground and it always seems better when the skies are cloudy and grey.

Not the nicest of mornings but dry and surprisingly mild when I was out for a walk.

Nice out now but cold but in tier 3 as of midnight so can’t go anywhere apart from the Gym and leisure places oh and pubs that serve food ...... does a pub that serves crisps count
My local usually sells food but is shutting tonight until Bumbling Boris decides to let us off the naughty step again so I’m off out to support them by buying beer before I start supporting them by just paying taxes.
i might push to a substantial bag of crisps though

Not a bad days weather here in the end.
started cloudy but plenty of sunshine during the afternoon and dry until a light shower around 5.30.
the only spoiler was a nagging and cold breeze but I’ll take it over wet and mild any day.

Certainly feeling the chill in the mornings now a cool overnight low of 3c at Manchester Airport.

Yeah, first morning back in work after a couple of weeks on holiday and, as well as the first drive to work in the dark it was the first morning of using the de-icer.
I’m not a great lover of dark mornings or clearing icy windscreens but there is certainly a lot more of the former to come and possibly a few of the latter.- 3

If you could get it from rain there wouldn’t be lot of demand for supplement tablets around our region this weekend.
shame it can’t wash the damn Covid down the drains and out to see.
