sorry to spoil the party but I think the precip is starting to loose its intensity on the radar .

Just as i said earlier mike,

The ppn looks like missing us or dieing out. That justifies my point earlier when the meto and beeb was saying 2cm-6cm for london and the south east. I think unless we see much heavier ppn, They are going to end up yet again with egg on there faces and in my bad books again. comeon beeb and meto reedem yourselfs and get it right for once.

Got alot colder here in sw london earlier we had wet snow at 3.6c with a dp off -0.7c now currentley 1.1c and a dp off -1.3c so looking good if the ppn hits us. But at the moment it looks as if it may miss us in sw london.

And for those expecting 3-6cms tonight is going to be cheesed off. Why becouse it is not settleing non settleing= wet ground = No lying snow.

But LLWA at least it has been only two letdowns for you i got snow on the first Monday and then by Thursday it was gone and i have not seen a flake since even though there have been good chances. I have totaly lost faith and even though part of me wants to see this snow i am now turning my attention to the spring. <_<

I feel for you sq i really do, What gets on my nerves totally when the beeb and the meto forcasts snow and it rains to me they are useless overpaid fools. The nw team will do alot better than them idiots

HAHA excuse me nearley spat me tea out lol, This event is localised and marginal already people from sutton which is 2 miles down the road is saying "Light snow is falling" I look out off my window guess what "Light nothing is falling" B) This is again going to be a north london event and i guess we will see zilch settled snow. <_<

Right guys and girls this is getting a little to serious now. the last time i sent my post was about 40 minuites ago and the flood water was at the bottom off the garden now its just about a few inches from comeing over the step and its about 2 foot deep so going to cut off power and see what devlopes does anyone know if the worst is over becouse over the past 5 minuites rain has slowed but still have not had any high winds tonight if someone could answer my question as soon as possible i would really be greatfull.

Oh crap, The rain keeps tipping it down here and i just put as many sand bags as i can to prevent the water comeing through but no luck its starting to flood at the bottom off the garden. I really enjoy a good storm but this one seems to keep going and going tbh getting a little concerned im not to sure if worse is yet to come and if the winds are going to pick up so far only a gentle breeze but its really weird rain i have my bedroom window open where i am writeing from now. And whenever we have heavy rain you can really here it and i cant here this one kind off a silent but violent one. Anyway i will continue to keep posting as long as i can but may have to switch off all eletric at some point guys.

What is all this about a winter storm? Will we just have rain, rain, rain and more rain here, west of London?

Completey agree there. We down here have been so unlucky in regards to snow. Two or three times we have been 50 miles off seeing snow when we got rain with a few bits off sleet mixed in. And to be perfectley honest i cannot really see anything on the cards in the near future in terms off snow. Just bad luck you have to wonder if we will see any more wintry weather anytime soon. I think it could well be over and out for us down south.

Dont get your hopes up tom off seeing any more snow this febuary monday looks a complete non event now and i expect it to remain that way further ahead milder air could be on the cards. totally fed up from this cold rain weather were haveing my leg is killing me.

Glad i did not stay up all night woke up and yes bitterley sisapointed the met office and the bbc really made a big cock up on this one and in my view have made me feel not to trust these people at all. Well done paul s You did say dont get your hopes up. I just have lost all faith tbh we were lucky last sunday. But thats 2 events where its gone pear shaped i have a feeling it could be the last.

Hi scott tbh mate it looks like being a complete non event for us down here as steve says lets look at mondays event could make the snowfall in the sw look like a bit off snow compared to what we can get.

just to add if you go onto the meto site even though they have not put a warning out as off yet for monday if you look at mondays forcast you can see why steve is getting a bit exited over this and it has also cheered me up. So plans for the weekend have a good drunk cheery weekend once me sunday roast hits the table its serious watching from there on
