Severe Siberian icy blast

Iv had a very close look at the radar for 23;00 and it hasnt moved much at all in the last hour, it may have pivoted as the low raps itself round but not really dived southeast enymore, its only going to move very slowly awat remember cause it really would like to go north , so we could all be in for a nice supprise

Good heavy snow hear, hoping the yellow halts on us which it may well do as it desperatly tries to push further north, i think as its gettin colder now it makes the snow appear heavier as even very tiny rain drops prob not visible to our eye turns to snow, white-out !!!!!!!!!!! very heavy now.

there seems to be lot of ppn coming our way, if we get another 4hrs of tis , we can all look at at least 4inc

to me the front still is moving north east, slightly , which is good news, that heavier ppn is gettin very close, and remember wen it does pivot, it will not pull away straight away, imo it looks better now

so any thoughts on weather we will get a decent dump plp??? it be good to see the yellow bits come north tbh !

heavy settling snow now hear seems as the ppn is growing, and as for them borderline upper to the south dont worry cause its not getting anyfurther north, the temps are set to drop , im hoping them yellows a bit further south get hear , everythins slowly coming north over the last hour or so . looking much better then earlier now :lol:

Iv noticed that , there is hope ! hopefully it will continue to pep up, and continue to do so for most of the night , iv been sweating All afternoon about this!!!!

so can you confirm to me that the heavy ppn is heading our way??? do you think that it may produce cause im not so sure??? i hope so, it is wet snow now hear , we just need the ppn to intensify some what, is it still developing then, which may mean we can see further developments with the ppn????? comments pls!

according to the radar the heavier ppn goes south, does any1 no if it will extend northwards?????

Thanks for that info, i was wondering if the lows only just approaching cornwall , does that mean the ppn will be chucked further north then cause at min it looks to be goin south then origonaly forecast. comments pls??????????????

thats right , all the ppn is goin south of hear , obviously missing the areas that would do best out of it

ok great but this morning i heard them say a possible 8inc and now it sounds rubbish if im honest

te snow threat if im right looks to have moved to the southwest of our region according to the latest bbc. i will be gutted to see this be a flop

snow does settle on wet ground every time , it did it yeaterday hear in less then 5mins , it was drenched. this will be big, read the latest update on the 'trackng the channel low' up tp 20cm. The lady giving the brrakfast report for the midlands , plays the accumulations down tho, she did the same last night, jay wynn said 20cm, then 30min later usung the same graphics and highlighting the same warnings she blurted out another 1-2 inc which sort of annoyed me cause a winter storm with blizzards does mean a lot more than that!!!!!!!!! just like when other forecasts forecast a 'flurry' when we're expecting heavy showers!!!!!!!!!!!

il listen to the proffessionals rather than an emotional amature , that was nothig more than a 'kid throwing a tantrum' comment, they do nothin of the sort

Thats not likely, they dont play mind games they give the forecast, based on many things, proberbly much more to it than what we no, im sure if they thought it was just wind and rain rather than snow then they would dwell more on the wind and heavy rain and continue with the winter storm theme, they would just slowly swich over the emphasis. remeber they no much more than we do , so im very exited about it all.

so as the fronts moving north surely that dosnt diminish out snow event does it?? the area of snow the bbc showed from th m4 corridor surely gives us room to move north anyway???? im dont think it will all change to be honest, ones are so took in by every thread , i remain very confident myself, comments welcome
