The region was very unlucky last night. Over 15cm has fallen on low grond in Lincolnshire apparently, and had that been a little North like most of the high res were saying, that would've fallen to low ground in the North West. A very tricky system to forecast.

Yeh a pitty @Kasim Awan what are your thoughts on today/tonight?

    About 2cm here in Glossop..

The other issue is if the front is so far north that we're affected by the mild air to the south. So I take back my earlier statement that it wont be marginal, it very much could be if the front is further north / south.

Mmm sounds then a 50/50 for the region then @Kasim Awan

I hope with the arrival of my lovely sister tomorrow night from my hometown Barcelona she can get to see snow. Very rare in the Mediterranean coasts..

I'm now 70% confident that we will see some sort of action tomorrow night. Could be anything between an hour of snizzle to a couple of hours of heavy snow. At the moment I'm swinging slightly towards the latter option, which would produce a covering 1-3cm to lower levels, perhaps up to 10cm over southern Pennine hills.

Sounds good to me here in Glossopia.. if we have had some flurries at noon time in Central London (went for work) today everything is possible.
