  1. Well been under the streamer all morning, was all fine flakes but now has suddenly picked up a bit with bigger flakes. Not exactly white out conditions but was expecting zilch here so very nice to look at. FullSizeRender.mov
  2. Good to see snow starved Cambs getting some from an Easterly for change! Forecast looking pretty good too, currently moderate snow here settling on all surfaces.
  3. Keep chin up mate you never know another streamer may line up over us.
  4. There was a Twitter post on here today that mentioned energy/convergence backing through the region overnight, I can’t find it though as so many pages have mounted up.
  5. Christ that’s plenty of work for plumbers and boiler engineers right there.
  6. You’re in a good spot to get clobbered with snow, but not sure it’ll reach Cambs, good luck!
  7. Yes the radar looks like it’s clearing from the East typically just as the cold is turning it to snow. Well we may catch a streamer in a couple of days here’s hoping.
  8. I lived in Saxmundham and Lieston for a while absolutely beautiful part of the country the Suffolk coast and have never lived anywhere as nice. I think you’ll be ok for a bit of snow.
  9. Yes mate hope we get some I think you’re quite well placed for a few cm’s
  10. If I watch the Met office weather forecast then the data I’m receiving is being put across to me with human interpretation. For example it may snow or it could reach here etc. An app just works in black and white, without the grey areas that so often come with the chaotic nature of weather.
  11. Also the only weather app I use on a phone is radar. The rest are useless as they’re only as good as the data that’s fed in to them.
  12. Few days ago the front was forecast to intensify and push up westwards right across E anglia, however now looks like we’re only just on the edge of the precipitation. BBC forecast also stated that there’s uncertainty on how far West it’s going to reach. You could view this either way of course. So just going to expect nothing now so any snow will be a nice surprise.
  13. Argh It’s so addictive why can’t I stop reading about the upcoming cold spell. Literally got nothing done this evening
  14. Agree, I also thought that Easterlies were a normal part of winter as there was a run of them during the 1980s
