300 strikes recorded from all around this location, and only 3 rumbles heard.
That is your fault for living in a microclimate

I think it's fair to say when it's all been said and done that the only area this week that wasn't effected by thundery weather was the NE of England....which begs the question, why did I agree to move up here ?...
Nothing yet this week here either! Apart from a distant show last night.

Another lovely morning having breakfast outside early on. A tad warmer than this time yesterday but I think it’ll be a tall order to beat June’s maximum.
I agree 32.1 to beat is still June 25th but yesterday was 2nd warmest here at 31.3!

Metoffice weather forecast for Southwest Today:
A few thunderstorms are possible during the morning, though conditions will be mostly hot and sunny once more. During the afternoon more widespread storms are likely to develop, especially towards Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Maximum temperature 32 °C.Tonight:
Thunderstorms rather widespread through the evening, then more focussed across north Devon into Somerset and Wiltshire overnight. Becoming drier with clear spells elsewhere, and turning mostly dry everywhere by dawn. Minimum temperature 18 °C.I still think we are a bit to far south again today with the best chances more towards Gloucester, Worcester area moving into Wales but chasing seems to be a good option today!

Great display even from here!

It’s so annoying! A very unremarkable spell so far.
It's been much better along the south coast this time around! We just keep ending up with low cloud every morning!

Sun is finally coming through for the first time today but still quite cloudy. 19.1°C
-
27.2°C much sunnier than yesterday with just some high level cloud around making the sunshine a bit hazy.
-
Hard to believe its only 21.8 here now, but yet its 30+ further east!
-
Quite a heavy shower just passed through really was not expecting this today! 24C
-
Flying ants about to take off here!
-
Only managed 26.7C here already beginning to drop down to 25.1C, there appears to be more elevated showers around than I was expecting today, just shows how that effects temperatures locally today!
-
Beautiful summers day with just some cirrus and cirrostratus cloud to are E. 24.1°C
