Was working in west brom at 12.45 and there was a short snow shower

Reading these posts almost makes me smile as much as watching falling snow , less of a weather forum , more of a shared love of snow !! (Midlands snow appreciation society . Being at 500ft asl is ok but would also love to be over 1000ft asl , and in the Midlands we get chances of snow from all angles , next 10 days will be fun to say the least , checking the windows , lampposts and forum every 45 seconds , ( as the bemused other half looks on ) Ahh winter , you just can't beat the exciting tingle of snow , good luck to all

Heavy snow now

It's sleeting here now , after 45mins of light rain , the gritters have been out surely all washed away by now ?

In the heavier bursts saw some really cold lookin rain drops lol

Suns out now , looks dark to my west over Dudley sedgley way wouldn't be surprised if they're having a wintry spell over there. Edit Stil have partial snow cover on grass cars still covered

Moderate snow again now , wind really whipping up , just measured 2.5 cm , not bad seeing we had 3?/3.5 hours of sleet and rain earlier

Proper big flakes again now filling in gaps on cars where melted snow slowly moving back South me thinks

Started snowing again here heavy fine icy almost hail type snow big flakes mixed in , wind picked up too

Oh well at least 1 hour of heavy snow earlier left 2cm melting away now in the sleet

Surely everyone jumping gun ? As this bonus snow this afternoon should have been rain ? My location wasn't due for snow til at least 7pm , on the last forecast I checked at 3pm so more snow later or am I naive and un educated ?? Believe it's christmas !!!â„â„â„â„
