  1. Look at the main area of precipitation near st albans hasnt moved since 3-pm, the chart your showing is cloud cover, it will slow and rotate before leaving SE.
  2. Not really it will all get washed away with the rain, but I suppose it looks good to the public that the council are doing something even though wasting money down the drain, but then they are good at that.
  3. Dew points dropping really fast 2 degrees in the last 20mins in Ireland, I degree in England.
  4. If the snow is heavy enough then it will settle easily, once the water gets cold enough the flakes dont melt and then build up and the water below starts to freeze, we will just have to wait and see how much snow we get..but i am going with 8cms by lunchtime tomorrow.
  5. Well this would certainly make an interesting Christmas Eve for the North West....100mph winds
  6. Looking at the current pressure reports, it appears the Low pressure is further west than predicted. Does this mean we might keep the low dew points once he rain arrives. Deffo feels like snow out there.
  7. Hey Paul, Understand stressful, maybe should give MK a break, do get paid to give your chip a say??
  8. Well on second. So, let off then lol Will be a very interesting few weeks, especially when all this water hits clay soils further downstream.Actually would not be surprised if somewhere underground started springing a leak
  9. Just reading some facts on flooding(do have A-level Geography) and this situation looks to be a mixture of surface and groundwater...so rightly a lot do could have more to come and could have water for a long time, as groundwater is very slow to dissipate.I blame really bad long term town planning, we shove so much water underground, no wonder its started to bit us in the weeble..just time will tell.
  10. Well tried to sleep, but no chance, so all-nighter it seems....glad its only a half day tomorrow.
  11. Right all we are posting is what Met Office have said to airlines and air traffic control, please stop saying these posts are false and to clarify. 1. They said Knots 2. The are surface winds 3. Are at Heathrow 4. This is forecast, so may change
  12. Just been an update on Sky Neww, Met Office have told Airlines that they are forecasting upto 90mph winds at Heathrow and that the storm is going to last longer than expected up until at last 12pm...
