    Just started to snow heavily in Essex. This wasn't supposed to happen, my netweather radar says rain! Doubt it will settle mind you, too wet Edited to say it is settling! Huge flakes, biggest ones so far in this snowy period. Keep it coming please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My temp is also already lower than they said it would get tonight and still falling. (temp 0.4 with a dewpoint of 0.1) Does this mean things look good for me or is there warm air to follow later? Hope we do get a bit more.... fingers crossed! :lol:

    Temp 2.4c at the moment and still falling. I've missed all of the bbc forecasts today, am I in the right location for snow tonight? Temps tell me I might be!

    Have I missed something here? Is it not supposed to rain tonight? My current temp is 0 degress (and falling) with a dewpoint of -4 degrees. Now I must stress I am very VERY new at this but wouldn't anything falling in those temps be snow? Also on my netweather radar all the showers coming my way are pink which is snow. Be happy for any thoughts, as I said I'm very new to all this so probably reading it all wrong! Thanks Anita

    Raining here now in Essex Is that it for us? The reason I ask is that the heavy stuff that all the channels were reporting didn't materialise here. Is it likely to get colder and snow again? Please say yes, I want my son to have another day off school so we can go for lovely walks and play in the snow!!

    Watched our itv local forecast (anglia) about an hour and a half ago and they said Essex could get another 20cms this afternoon! Surely that can't be right?! So hope it is though! Praying for it not to turn to sleet! Loving this weather!

    3 and a half inches here in Silver End Essex! My 5 year old went nuts when he saw it! First time he's seen proper snow! Plus there's no school for him today! Am I right in thinking there is still more to come? What are the chances now of it turning to rain or sleet later today as first thought? Thanks Anita

    What exactly is classed as 'far east of Kent and Essex'? For example I am in Silver End (CM8 postcode if that helps!) about 30 miles from the coast. Am I likely to still see snow? I realise you can't be that specific but a guess would be great! Thanks Anita

    Just been out for another measure! Up to 2 inches now and still going strong! Does anyone know if this is tomorrows stuff arrived early or is that all still to come?

    Really coming down here now, wind picked up a little too, probably our heaviest shower yet. Last time I measured we were just above an inch, probably quite a bit more now though! Will go out and have another measure in a bit!

    I'm a bit confused! Just watched the bbc forecast and it doesn't look like much snow for my location tonight. We have had a shower or two which left a covering but the sky is pretty clear at the moment. Have things changed and I won't get any snow tonight or am I just expecting it all too early and its still to come? Any thoughts appreciated (positive ones preferably)! Thanks Anita

    Where are you Matt? I'm in Essex and so far we've had only one very light shower this afternoon! Just wondered how far apart we were. I hope I get some, want to play in the snow with my little boy!
