Heavy snow sittingbourne, not laying however nice to see. Still lots on the radar to come this way however. What’s people’s thoughts after dark and temps drop a little? More snow?

Looks like that was our best chance for a while. Mentions of a chance tomorrow but looking at things I'd say that is zero chance lol

We have gone from sunshine to very dark clouds now here in Sittingbourne

Kent very unlikely to see any accumulations of snow tonight. Everything to far west. Radar looks terrible for us.

The BBC forecasts really are pretty misleading with the maximum temperatures they show - they tend to use city centre maximums which are hardly representative of what is really happening. With one breath he is talking about how the cold will win out with wintry showers around, the next the graphics are showing temperatures of 5-7C.
You will prob find the temps are correct. The cold is generally the frost at night. The mention of snow is for northerly areas and to cover themselves.

Sorry I pressed send without actually finishing my post Apparently there is a battle ground scenario developing between easterly winds and the atlantic, so somewhere will get some of the white stuff! But as I said, models have to start agreeing with each other before we can start celebrating. It could all go mild again this evening.
Up north yes. Down here no! It's going to be 5-7 degrees most of the week.

In my opinion and looking at the charts I'd as things stand at the moment our chances of snow from this current cold spell are over. Yes we will have a few more frosts but its just not going to be cold enough for snow. Still its the anticipation we love and disappointment that keeps us hoping.
