    just seen bbcnews24 forecast ,looks like a pasting for south east wales from this evening and most of the night !!

    Ive just been outside and there is a good thaw going on so unless the temp drops dramatically i`m going for rain in the am !!

    very light snow here in newport,it`s been snowing for a few hours.just a light dusting on the ground.

    bbc forecast was very cagey about Monday it showed a front moving in from the west Sunday night but the didn`t mention it at all .me thinks there is something afoot for Monday Holmes !

    rain today radar is showing the band coming in over the south west turning to snow over Dartmoor and sleet moving up the Bristol channel , wind has picked up here in Newport ,temp at 2deg c.

    done mine and all ready for the snow ,although `m in Newport i`m on top of one of the highest points and it gets rough up here . when snow falls up here it can be rain in the town centre lol

    well i`m ready ,got torches and candles incase of power cuts and portable heaters.shovels ready and supplies so bring it on i say !!!

    looking at the met office radar the snow will miss Newport all together as it appears to be fizzling out and sliding west of me.i doubt very much we will see any at all.

    In 1982 i was in school at Risca comprehensive then and remember the drifts were 5 feet deep out in the country lanes near where i lived ,we spent days up the mountain sledging. happy days

    wow huge flakes of snow here in newport ,i`m up on the higher part !! fairly wet snow but slowing down so must be turning more to real snow .

    must be a glytch with raintoday radar precip deffo vannished at 18,15pm and nothing after.
