bbc 2pm forecast just said they are not expecting and great amounts of snow across sw or wales ??? whats that all about then

i wonder if anyone can explain the meto warnings issued today in comparison with last week when from swindon to isle of white and across to brighton was on a red (take action) warning and today with a similar heavy precip approaching us here in wales? it seems to me metoffice are sitting on their hands and are not going to commit untill they can see the weather through their window.

i work outside all through the year and always carry a lot of kit this time of year.it looks from the reports i`ve just seen on bbc news 24 just now we are in for a tough time tomorrow through wed,gov are bringing extra grit supplies to west country and wales because they are worried about amount of snow.

weather is very dull with light snow at the moment although the sky looks full of the white stuff .

not getting anything at the moment here in npt 100 mtrs alt at st julians .

i can see something coming in on meto radar but their forecast is`nt saying much.hope it is snow although it looks light on radar .

hi guys just logged on whats happening? it seems very warm outside almost slight thaw i think,i`ve just come from near severn bridge to newport and deffo slight thaw since i left earlier today.

Cold spell is OVER!!! snow this week is over exaggerated and limited to a small amount on the highest hills early in week By next weekend we will be looking forward to wearing our normal winter gear - t-shirts and raincoats!! GFS has nailed this cold spell, the biggest downgrade in the past 4 weeks - and only at 3 days... don't be telling me 3 days is fantasy land, these charts have been hinting at this for 4 days now The question is - when will the chaps on the tv actual say - milder weather on the way!! bit of an anticlimax really, especially all the forecasted snow this week,... out with a wimpe rthis is what i ust saw in the model discussion board !!!!

wow its snowing here now biggest flakes i`ve seen in years and i`m 45,its really heavy too .

great i`m hope we do we had an inch earlier so a lot more would be welcome as i promised to build a big snowman in the morning.

just been outside it appears to be raining here now snow stopped and very wet under foot in newport alt 275 ft

seems to have stopped here now,more to come i think looking at bbc forecast .

snowing like mad here now,my grandfather who is 86 said he has not seen snow like this in years !!

think there is a battle going on above me at the moment temp seem to be dropping icy rain turning more to sleet now i`m at 275 feet alt
