  1. Lots of Bexley people on tonight. Moderate snow commenced. Light cover on all surfaces.
  2. 50p flakes on the south side Steve. Edit, now have serious snizzle!
  3. Right I'm off. Let's see what the night brings. Night all!
  4. There is in the mouth of the Estuary. Convection ongoing and it's moving just South of East West. Paul, are the winds still showing NNE? Could it be convergence, or am I talking out of my 'Arris?
  5. But the showers appear to be moving East just off Southend. Confused..
  6. Convection is definitely kicking off in the mouth of the Estuary!
  7. How about the old Thames Estuary. There seems to be some brighter echoes in the mouth at Southend?
  8. I wasn't talking about me personally. Unlike most IMBY's in here, I am interested in where the expected snowfall the BBC and SKY is coming from not whinging about lack of snow. The only place I can see this developing is in the channel. Hence my comment about the streamer effecting Southern areas. Still snowing lighty here, very powdery flakes fluttering in the breeze.
  9. There seems to be a developing streamer in the channel. Something of interest for southern areas tonight?
  10. People need to slow down and read the posts. Steve M has explained that our Snow in the SE is convective and this will be enhanced by the upper warm front currently poised across the channel. The parts currently predicited to have the heaviest snow are NW Kent, NE Surrey and NE Sussex.
  11. I would think that you'll get some snow later on this evening. Amounts between 2-5 cm I'd guess. Are you on the Downs or in the city?
  12. Snowing in Bexleyheath. Seems to be pepping up a bit. The wind has certainly increased, howling down the chimney.
  13. It's not decaying, it's still moving westwards. Don't panic!
  14. Showers tonight seem to be stronger and coming much further in land!
  15. Shower stopped in Bexleyheath! The odd flake fluttering in the breeze.
  16. Might get lucky and hop on those line of showers off the Essex coast. Getting a bit heavier now!
  17. This is a warm sector on the low in the North Sea. Temperatures will drop away eventually later on this evening. This warm sector has nothing at all to do with Sundays projected snowfalls. Just relax.
  18. As a wild educated guess (delete where applicable), I think convection is occuring now in the Estuary. Give it another 30 minutes and we'll see!
  19. Superb T168 chart. Low undercutting, up the channel she goes. The winter of 2009/10 goes on.
