  1. Frightened? LOL. You've got nothing to worry about. The snow will cover the whole country
  2. How sad is that? People whipped into a frenzy by headline hunting media. Dumbed down Britain. Must say it's looking good for the whole of our region. As the fronts approach the winds suck in the freezing dew points from Continental Europe. Guaranteed snow for all I would have thought for anyone East of the Isle of Wight. Inland and further North, it could be lovely powdery snow.
  3. Absolutely no hope of any cold weather at all on that forecast. Horrendous stuff, certificate 18!
  4. Wow, that's a serious rant. Keep on smiling. We've had two or three great winters with heavy snow and cold winds. You have to expect a milder winter from time to time. Although, it's hardly wam is it?
  5. Not at all. That's the continental climate for you. That little strip of water between Dover and Calais makes all the difference.
  6. Torrential rain in Bexleyheath making an incredible noise. Not that much thunder though
  7. No way am I giving up. Let's revisit this thread at 22:00 hours tonight when I'm back in from playing football. Things will have changed by then.
  8. LOL... still trolling along. Still looking good for the South and the East tonight.
  9. Why don't you think this will happen? I am still extremely confident of things for the South Eastern quarter.
  10. I wouldn't either, as the odds are 55% it not happening. Next week is looking good though.
  11. I'd say things are looking good for storms in the South East tomorrow afternoon, better than I expected. Here's hoping.
  12. Nice storm here between 4:45 and 5:30. More notable for the much needed heavy rain rather than electrical content. To be fair there were some close stikes. Bit surprised, the best storms seemed to be a bit further South than I expected. The steering winds must have had a more ESE movement rather than ENE.
  13. LOL Lauren. You do make me laugh, keep up the good work. Certainly the charts are looking good for tomorrow. I would think that the whole Eastern side is at risk of some heavy showers. Not so sure there will be many thunderstorms about though. Can't rule the odd one out, the most prone places being Cambridgshire, Suffolk or Norfolk.
  14. just popped out the back garden and it's still pretty blowy and doesn't feel humid at all
  15. The storm to the north of here just died a death. Still very dark though with the odd blob of tropical rain. A real shame as it was producing frequent forked lightning 4-5 a minute.
  16. This is going to be a cracking storm. Frequent lightning to the North, very slow moving. Could be some big rain totals from this. Three strikes whilst typing this message.
  17. Sat watching a cell to the south which built up but seemed to just sit there. Confident it was going to miss, I light the BBQ. In the space of 20 minutes a cell developed to the North out of blue clear skies and is giving frequent strikes 4-5 a minute. Forked lightning observed. Must be the same cell Snow Raven is observing. Going back out to have another look.
  18. Paul, does it matter how he achieves his forecast? I'll measure him on his results. If he can pull this one off, I'll start to pay more attention. Fair play to him for sticking his head above the parapet.
  19. Top stuff. Perfect choice of music as well Jarre! Those streams were addictive overnight!
  20. Live feed from Oklahoma City via KOCO TV showing the development of storms to the South West of Oklahoma City. Tennis ball hail already been reported. http://a842.l1289338841.c12893.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/842/12893/v0001/reflector:38841.asx
  21. I'm not convinced yet either, but you cannot deny the charts (ECM, UKMO) are now showing a colder outlook. I seem to remember similar postings from you prior to the previous cold spell. I'd genuinely be interested to hear your comments with regards to a contrary viewpoint.
