  1. well if its a wet and chilly June here hopefully it will be hot in France when we have our lads 5 days away for the Le Mans 24hr, lol.
  2. well i guess there is still time for a change to colder conditions, and it would be nice, but hey, if its to be mild then so be it, hopefully i will get my Snow fix next December when i take the wife on a xmas Market break in Austria.
  3. did not even bother getting ours from the back of the shed. lol
  4. if we are not going to get anything cold then we might as well have an early spring, lol
  5. good afternoon all, hope everyone had a fantastic Xmas day, i see Santa has not delivered us cold lovers any Xmas cheer and going forward that looks likely to remain the case, temps back up to double figures by the weekend so if we get any sunshine at least it should feel nice enough, and with me being a gardener no cold equals plenty of work in the New Year, but i would sooner have a few snow days off, lol
  6. i must admit i tend not to feel the cold so im happy just to put an extra jumper on if i feel chilly, lol
  7. with the first month of winter nearly over i am amazed that i am still cutting the lawns and the heating is off, oh i so hope January delivers us coldies something to remember.
  8. i for one am looking forward to turning the heating off come the weekend, temps back to 10/11c, southwesterly winds so should feel ok outside, time to get back outside and cut the lawns.
  9. well i have to say that as everyday passes and no sign of cold/snow on the models, my £10 bet with the wife on this being a snowless winter is looking good, although being a cooldie its a bet i would not mind lossing, lol.
  10. you are quite correct in it all being meaningless, but its fun to have a hunch and to find out if it was right or wrong in the hunt for cold and snow, i for one would love a cold frosty snowy winter. i am happy to admit i read the hunt for snow thread and get a little excited when people say yep, its on its way, only to have the dreams and hopes dashed when it all goes south, lol.
  11. here is my roll of the dice and hunch, and a £10 bet with the wife that this winter will be a much milder than average and a snowless one, i base this on nothing but a feeling and a knowing that Lapland was so warm that they were snowless until early December and a friend telling me that some ski resorts were very late in getting meaningfull snow, so all it tells me is the world is warming and the chances of getting snow is this country are falling year on year.
  12. my own xmas day weather forecast for imby will be sunny spells, and a pleasent feeling 12c, reading the Model thread and lloking at the forecasts i think we shall be lucky to see anything in the way of cold this side of the New Year, just a hunch, and a £10 bet with the wife that this will be our second snowless winter in 3 years.
  13. Good evening everyone, well i have to say i am looking forward to a cold and hopefully at times snowy winter, but i just have this nagging doubt that we will get any snow here, imby of course, the charts always look good 10 days out but never seem to get any closer, i have read in the hunt for cold thread that the signs are looking hopeful so for all us cold lovers out there fingers crossed.
  14. im so hoping the weather for the south coast this weekend is not going to be as bad as i fear, we are at goodwood for the motor racing, so far the bbc forecast, met office and the weatheroutlook all say something different
  15. i will be happy with that, off to burghley horse trails on saturday, and Goodwood revival motor racing from the 6th till the 10th sept
  16. for me i am just hoping that from the 6th to the 10th of Sept are dry, we are at the Goodwood Revival motor racing weekend and last year the rain was monsoon like for the whole weekend, after that weekend winter can arrive, lol.
  17. Oh it would be so good to have a second storm like we have had so far today, dont think it will happen but you never know.
  18. We took a right pasting mate, was fantastic, 13mm of rain, plenty of lightning and booming thunder, my son is so happy.
  19. Would be good, but im not going to be greedy, we have just had one hell of a storm, that was intense, thank you mother nature.
