i have to say that this winter has been our best for a few years already, heavy snow last friday which is still giving a very icy covering, freezing cold and foggy since then, possibly a few more chilly foggy days to come before things turn less cold/mild. les hope we can muster a cpl more colder spells before we start looking forward to spring.
-
well i have to say after the most surprising snowfall here of recent years yesterday, we are just hoping that was not an early winter tease and the rest of winter is not the normal mild, wet and boring, lol
-
been amazed as to how much snow we have had here, heavy rain at 7am, now a good inch of snow, getting lighter now so rain is not to far away i fear
-
stunned as to how much snow we have here, 7am was heavy rain, now an inch of snow, looks very festive but the rain is not far away now

Aye, definitely chances of warm days increases now, with the Atlantic dominating, unlike late Sept/early Oct, could feel decent if mild sectors last say for a day
Just ordered in some more logs for our log burner, guess they wont be needed for a while, lol.

Rumbling away all afternoon here in Lincolnshire with very heavy rain, however things are livening up now with lightening and a continuation of the very heavy rain.

Seems to have eased off a bit now, not sure if we are due anymore.

I feel a minor disturbance in the force, could it possibly be thunder and lightening.
-
No surprise that the sth lincs storm shield is holding firm, nothing but low cloud, a bit of drizzle and not overly warm.
-
looks like we have missed out on todays fun too, the lincs storm shield is firmly in place, lol

Stuck at work, but had a nice little storm earlier!! The smell of fresh rain was lovely too.
Got my eye on developments now over near Ipswich, plus there’s monster developments happening now over Belgium and Holland, which could bring those storms into Norfolk later on in the night. Here’s hoping.
not a drop of rain here, thought we might have heard a cpl of distant rumbles but there is not much to get excited about

And nothing to suggest anything will change, cool and cloudy here, not seen rain for days, this is the calm before the calm, lol
-
Nothing here as per the norm, no heat to tap into, just cool cloudy skies.

Not much of a boom though, was there?
Pathetic.
It certainly has gone out on a whimper.
-
And boom, there it is, gone, heat been replaced overnight with low cloud, northerly wind and a much cooler feel, not a storm or drop of rain.
-
still beautiful sunshine here, time to light the BBQ, have fun storm getters and chasers.

i love to see all the talk of snow and cold weather, but surely there must be a concern for the amount of rain thats due over the next cpl of days, are there any charts that show how much rain is due now the weather warnings have appeared, asking on behalf of the Wife as the horseyard and paddocks are close to flooding already and she is a little concerned.
