    Also then main area directly north around west London is looking good and is gaining! Problem is my temperature is climbing fast now at 3c

    Its sometimes annoying that Petersfield that is about 10 miles north of Portsmouth and over the southdowns gets snow, when everywhere south of the downs gets nothing but rain. That is what normally happens when we get a band of snow coming from the north. Apart from 2004, When I remember it raining for the first hour then it snowed like crazy for about an hour and we also had thundersnow which was my first every experience! Lets us know what happens where you are!

    We need to watch whats coming down thats North west of here cause from the looks of it, its heading this way. But telling what it is? Well that will be difficult.

    Well i say Portsmouth, but I'm acutally In havant, just people from around other areas have no clue where that is haha!

    I still have my un touched snow from Friday in tack, very strange. Its not melting at all at the moment. Had reports of snow at Hinehead just up the A3. Something is on its way, and remember that before snow, temperatures do rise quite a bit, just hopefully not too much!

    Anyone know if Portsmouth will get any snow?

    I'm like right on the border of the 2! West sussex is only half a mile from where i am. To be honest i'm not 100% sure now. The meto and BBC weather are saying heavy rain. But the current temperature here is -0.2c and rose to 2c around half an hour ago. I think this was due to the showers in the channel. So its cold enough for snow i think :wacko:

    We did do rather well, I my self only expected a slight dusting but to awake with heavy snow and a good covering well I think what we need is a huge band of snow to move in from the east and effect the whole of the england. Snow normally from the North always falls as rain down on the coast. Something to do with the solent wind as its been called

    Haha that is so true! I think its better just to have south east and west, cause the south is just a small place inbetween in everyones mind haha!

    You might, but from what people have been saying the air is warming up before the main band, then a huge drop in temperature once the band arrives. It also seems to be breaking up fast than predicted so if contiues to break up, I might see nothing but drizzle haha! Good luck up there though

    Ahh mines still stuck and showing no sign of melting. Just come back from Portsmouth on the train and there does seem to be more snow in my area than central Porstmouth, but the walk back from the train station was fun, sliding around! No sign of any melting though, well not yet haha!

    Evening all Snow still on the ground here, but the temperature is being rather strange. It was -1.2c at 5pm, then 0.6c at 6pm, then -0.9c at 7pm and now 1.7c! What is going on! Not expecting snow at all tonight here, but I am confused that the GFS charts are predicting the cold air to still be with us? Anyone shine any light on my confusions?

    Bit off topic slightly, But there are reports that the channel tunnel has been closed due to servre weather in france. Can't they send some back our way

    Morning All! We have a nice covering here in Portsmouth! Haven't heard of any traffic problems around here, but I hope that band of snow moves toward us to give us a little top up :smiliz19: But very happy with the current amount

    All i can say is moderate snow, with bilazzard conditions. Paths turned white, temperature rose to 1c but is now around 0c and snow still falling!

    Im located In havant not far from Portsmouth. Currently 0.4c And still snowing, but the wind is so strong! UPDATE: Anyone seen the lasted radar! Its gaining in strenght and head for our patch!

    Its still light flurries, the temperature is rising and the wind has picked up like crazy!

    Currently 0c exactly here, was -1c not long ago, but has risen very fast in the last 20 minutes. This is normally a good sign! Sending it your way people!

    Now if my eyes and playing with me, there is currently flurries of snow falling here!
