  1. Temperature rising faster now since around 1.30pm, humidity rising along with it. Now 23°C and sunny.
  2. Beautiful end to the day yesterday, as has been the way this week. The high was 21.7°C. The low overnight was 11.9°C, the highest all week! Another cloudless start to the day, however the fresh breeze of yesterday has all but gone unexpectedly. Currently sunny and warm. 22.5°C.
  3. Past few days have been basically wall to wall sunshine with temperatures in the low 20s. Not bad for September, but becoming more common in recent years! Low overnight, last night was 9.5°C. A little higher than previous nights. Today starts were yesterday left off, unbroken sunshine but with a easterly breeze today, just enough to take the edge off at times. Currently 19.7°C and Sunny. Winds E at 5-7mph.
  4. Wall to wall sunshine today from dawn until dusk, the high was only 20.0c due to a slight northerly and low dew points. Currently clear, 10.6c
  5. Indeed, my thoughts do stem from the fact that the sensor is lower powered as you mentioned. Good thinking about the low to the ground positioning, that wasn't something I had thought of! Maybe a good idea to speak to Lucy and the Ecowitt team about this issue?
  6. A mostly cloudy day today, with some bright spells at times. Became very dull around 6pm onwards with the odd spot of drizzle, however nothing measureable. The High was 21.3°C. Currently cloudy and feeling muggy, 16.9°C.
  7. Update for you, I've had my vantage vue on for the past week. No issues to report with the anemometer, temperature and pollution sensor. However, my moisture sensor is now having intermittent breaks in data collection. Now I don't use the GW1000 for the connection, as mine is just connected straight to the console (had an update sent over to allow it to work in that way). So my theory may be that either there's a conflict somewhere with the moisture sensor signal or the sensor itself has a weaker antenna? Very odd.
  8. This is very unlucky for you @Mapantz. I took have a Davis station (only a Vantage Vue), but have had it switched off since June as my Ecowitt station has taken over as my main system. What I will do is turn it back on and see if I have any signal issues as well, as we basically have the same Ecowitt equipment now by the sounds of it and will report with my findings. Just for clarification, I have my anemometer, temperature sensor and moisture sensor around 30ft away from my console and the rain gauge and pollution sensor around 15ft away. I have no issues with signal, however beyond this at around 50ft I start to loose bars but still get around half. Its really sad to hear you are having so many issues, they do sound very uncommon!
  9. Wow, that is incredible for the amount of time you've been waiting! Did Lucy sort it all?
  10. Update on my station. I have found (yes another) location for my primary temperature sensor. The previous location was doing well, however I noticed during the hot spells in August that around the peak hours of heat, the sensor would be 1-2°C above my other backup sensor. So I decided to move the primary sensor into the same location where my backup sensor was located. You can see the new location here, with a protected pipe for the fan wire and a view under the shield showing the fan working. The new location is protected from direct sunlight around lunchtime and is recording temperatures that are more in keeping with other local stations and the nearby Met Office location. As before, the fan assistant radiation shield is powered from a solar panel (located on a nearby shed roof), however I replaced this with a 30cm panel which is now providing a constant fan speed even on cloudy days (which the previous one wasn't). This setup has been working very well over the past month and temperatures are much more consistent, especially during the late August hot spell. I was worried that the hedge behind would either effect temperatures or humidity, however these appear to have been unaffected. Hopefully, after much testing since May, this is the final setup!
  11. @Mapantz Any update on your order? I can't get over how long that's taken?!
  12. Was the coldest night for quite some time last night. Got down to 3.9°C Beautiful start to the morning though and appears to be continuing throughout! Currently 17.1°C with sunshine.
  13. A cool and partly cloudy day, the wind was light from the North, but certainly took the edge of the temperatures! The high was 19.1°C. Currently clear and feeling cool, 7.5°C.
  14. Dry day but became cloudy this afternoon from the west which brought the temperature down. High was 21.8°C during the sunshine around lunchtime. The overnight low was 5.4°C so rather cool for the time of year! Currently much warmer than last night with cloudy skies, 16.7°C.
  15. First day of autumn actually felt like the weather knew the season change! Much lower humidities today compared to yesterday and with the NW'ly wind making it feel fresh! High was 20.1°C and was a partly cloudy day Currently 18.7°C with sunny spells
  16. Been enjoying this settled but less hot spell we've had this week. Highs have been in the low 20s with low humidity... perfect! Currently 21.0°C with Sunny skies and a fresh Westerly wind. Expecting this to change shortly with the arrival with the front. Does look likely I'll miss any of the more substantial rain!
  17. Sunny skies here for most of today, however some high level cloud with some passing Altocumulus castelanus has now appeared. High today was 29.1C. Currently sunny with light winds from the NW, 26.7C.
  18. Beautiful day here today, feel very warm. High was 28.2°C. Currently 21.7°C with sunshine.
  19. Beautiful day today, low humidity and mostly sunny skies. Has clouded over now but still very pleasant, high was 27.7°C. Currently 23.8°C with partly cloudy skies.
  20. A overnight low of 9.3°C with a clear start. Currently 25.5°C with sunny skies.
  21. Ah sorry, didn't see your message! Yeah must be just a mix up on their end!
  22. Is it possible that recent events within Hong Kong maybe having an effect on shipping?
  23. Clear skies this morning and still sunny now. Feeling pleasant. Currently 23.5°C Edit: Currently using the back up sensor for temperature today. Main sensor was reporting 27°C, turns out the fan within my radiation shield isn't working!
  24. Had some overnight rain, only amounted to around 1mm. However woke up to some heavy rain this morning, which brought the total to 3.9mm. Luckily was only short as its now sunny skies and feeling warm out! Currently 21.2°C and sunny.
