yeh...better late than never, heavy sleet Magor.

Still waiting very patiently, but I can feel it is coming. Lamppost watching at its best.

I've not had a single flake and now looked at metoffice app and been downgraded grrrrr. Fingers crossed it gets better for us all.
-
This morning on metoffice I was down for heavy snow in Magor from 5pm tommorow and through night. Now it is just sleet and rain, apart from 1 HR at 8pm

Amazing amount of snow here in Magor, did a Snow Angel 15 minutes ago and it has completely disappeared. Cars had to abandon at the main road as can't get up our hill. Incredible and a wonderful thing for my son to see, he has now officially got the snow bug.... only took him 21 years, I knew I would turn him lol. Be safe everyone.

well I went to see Dai the Grit and got me salt - no questions asked lol - but in the mean time the HUSKY Gracie made a run for it and ran like lightning through the fields up here - so I took the lead with me hoping to get her back after doing my black market deal with Dai The Grit. So I'm approaching the gate to get back home and two dog walkers think they've seen the husky running around in the field next to our bungalow - so they stress me out and try to get me motivated to move my ass to get her back on the lead - well the heavy bucket of Grit from Dai (ssssssssssh) I tried to put on top of this snow drift - but I moved just a little too quickly - cause you should all have been there with your video cameras and cleaned up to the tune of £250 from "You've been Framed" cause I slipped in the snow and went down like a sack of s**t - right into a soft snow drift luckily - but it was a bit of a shock to be 6ft 1 for one miniute and down at ground level the next lol - but I picked myself up via the garden lamp my dad gave me - bless his soul and carried on - the dog is back home now - probably because she got hungry lol and Liza is now cooking some delicious Lamb - but before I can rest I gotta dig the snow off our front path and throw some grit down (that I got from the black market via Dai The Grit)
WELL,,,,,, theirs no business like SNOW business and snow business I know...... lol

It's proper fine powdery snow
It hasnt stopped since 1 oclock. It reminds me of the great NYE 1978 blizzard (winter 78/79). Fine stuff with winds for first few hours then boom!!
That was where I got my snow obsession from. 10 years old living in Hanham and took my dad a day to dig us out the back of the house. omg imagine if we got something like that?

well thats a bummer the metoffice update has the main event not arriving here until 5pm it was 3pm and on heavy until 2am so quite a few hours less heavy snow
it is changing all the time, one minute we are in Magor 50% heavy snow, then 95% then 70%, I expect it is just a wait and see type of thing.

How about a short one from me
I must write these reports more often, every time I try and focus it starts snowing - only 2 cm but it's starting to accumulate (-4.5c) . I want to enjoy this and I'll be out in it shortly when I venture to the Post Office.
WARNING: Part 4 of my long report will be postponed until tomorrow due to adverse weather conditions. I'll just contribute with a few pics and short updates and comments. David

Enjoy your snow David, you deserve it ;-)

How anybody thinks in Wales they gonna miss the snow beats me area huge area of precipation with pretty heavy oranges and yellow developing atm over northern France heading straight towards Wales.
I am beginning to feel more excited again as my met office have upgraded me slightly and also Ian Ferguson weather man from Bristol said that more people are in for severe snow, including possibly Bristol. I am sort of in between the two for weather, so fingers crossed, but looking very good at the moment.

The met app forcast for me has been spot on so far, still downgraded so much since yesterday, but hoping they may just change it back better later. Really pretty here though. Went to walk the dog, in his new boots, he looked like a bucking donkey lol, he was not impressed and it was too cold so we only went around the block.
-
well I am 5 miles from the red warning, hoping that my heavy snow percentages I had yesterday will go back up again.. ;-) so excited for everyone, hope everyone gets some.

Woke up as too excited, but checked my metoffice app and huge downgrades for me in Magor, only light snow throughout and only 50%, yesterday I was under heavy snow and mainly 90%. Devastated :-(.
-
Omg....all going pear shaped. Just wasted a week of my life checking bu the sounds of it. So disappointing.
-
