  1. There's a photo in the netweather gallery of a bloke sitting on a garden bench in the snow, in his pants. My wife noticed it earlier on, and after half an hour I had to ask her to get off my laptop - got a bit embarrassing tbh. He's called Steve apparently. Anyone care to confess?

Still got "snizzle" in my patch. Pretty much all afternoon. Maybe the chance of a few light showers in the night, and agree with some other posters - could be here for a while (hopecasting in a big way!!).

It was a guy from the south southern thread......i have to confess to studying it for quite a while too rofl.gifrofl.gif

  2. Funny thing here in magor. Just been out to put bins out....and basically an excuse to go back out to my snow lol, and something is falling from the sky....thought it was very light rain, but everything is freezing, could hardly open the padlock on my back gate and it is absolutely freezing out their. Checked radar and absoluely nothing sorry.gif but deffinately something falling?

  3. I'm starting to wish this detritus currently over more central parts would bugger off.

Is this simply going to be pushed out of the way, its bloody just keeping my Temps up for now, I'd prefer clear skies.

0.6c AT, -0.2c DP, 1010.2mb rapidly falling barometer trend.

With all your hard work and enthusiasm in this thread over the last couple of days and your humour, I cannot think of anyone better to recieve a great big dumping of the white stuff. Good luck.

  4. Can I ask a question please? I live in Magor, right by the new severn bridge, and most of the time I feel a bit in no mans land for the weather. Most of the time, I don't get anything like the weather predicted in Wales, obviously being so close to the severn and I usually get a tad more like the weather in Bristol (but not central bristol), any ideas where I would be roughly based in this set up? i./e wale or south west?

  5. Apparently awd in south thread looked on ian ferg twitter to matt hugo.... said more confidence now of rain breaking through friday now from south west ... cant post it as on phone. already seeing prob a downgrade and it is only tiesday :-( do understand nothing set in stone of course and change cam happen either way. but i really am going to try not to get my hopes up.

  6. Yellow Alert of Snow for Wales

Yellow Alert of Snow for Wales : Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Merthyr Tydfil, Monmouthshire, Neath Port Talbot, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Rhonnda Cynon Taff, Swansea, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan & Wrexham valid from 0900 Fri 18 Jan to 2355 Fri 18 Jan

Blizzard conditions eh - FEET OF SNOW - I WILL BE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT:- Get your food supplies in and check your heating systems over - temps will be dropping like a stone over the next few days then the atlantic front will stall over Wales - because of the coldness of the air over us - and will dump FEET OF SNOW OVER WALES!

THIS WILL ALSO HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN TILL AT LEAST THE END OF THE MONTH - LEADING TO STUPID AMOUNTS OF SNOW OR AS IN THE FILM SPACE BALLS - LUDICROUS AMOUNTS OF SNOW - FEET OF SNOW

Andy.....i am worried. normally you are excited at this snow prospect but i don't see any excitement of this from you as yet..... lol
