  1. I wonder what date that is? We always get snow here in March. Some of the biggest falls. 1969 was a specially good example. Snowed for about 3 days and had huge drifts. Also Easter is early. Easter Sat is March 30. There's always more chance of snow at Easter than Christmas. So don't put your skis away. Teaser. Hope you get a cold dumping for your Easter holidays then ...
  2. http://xcweather.co.uk/ Gives snow now and then this week... Comes and goes. The 3 snowflake dumping on Weds afternoon is back for this altitude.

  7. Yes there was raging wetness from 3.30-- 4.30pm today. I was in Longridge. Nearly got blown off my feet. Then about 20 mins later there was a close crack of thunder and then a phenomenal downpour. Walls of water. Streets turned to rivers for a while. Then some horizontal hail as the clearance came through. Wild wind crashing around here tonight and howling in the chimney. Doesn't feel so warm as the 7.9C on the thermometer. Plenty of snow around still, but our igloo has melted on the SW side.
  8. Snow still belting down. Temp had risen to 1.5C, but dropped back again to 1.1C Washing line looks stretched down with weight of snow. I wonder how the overhead elec cables are doing. Chaos shown on those Motorway pics. Feel very sorry for drivers caught up in all the jams
