no snow where I am

No don't ban the bbc - Derek's forecast earlier was cracking - snow all over the place and it's the only place that can tell me if my kids schools are closed - county council don't seem really interested in letting me know - about as interested as they are in gritting, truth be known. We Welsh can rise above this marginalisation from the English once again!! So- snow from sat onwards in cardiff - I know it's not a lot but ......... Reminds me of the joke - how do you eat an elephant?? - a little bit at a time!

Asda Cardiff bay - no salt left - will be putting dishwasher salt on my chips tonight!!

There probably will be all sorts of contingency plans for getting staff in for you to do your exams no matter what. We have the same situation for students and we will have to sort something out , come what may!!

Our car saying it's 1c. Clearly not working!! While we are waiting - what about this question - Should Derek be made a saint? My favourite forecaster - a national institution! Votes please.

hmmm.... bit worried now Have you seen the rainfall and temps on met office maps for Sunday/ Monday - looking good!! Or is it - don't have much of a clue personally. My brother says he can smell snow. What do you reckon?!

Cardiff got an inch (just). Went sledging this morning and by the time we got there the kids were mostly muddy slush/dead leaf sledging. We are definately due a dumping here. Getting very depressed. Please somebody say there are 6 inches on the way for me. Having said that - we have kids doing exams next week in school so don't really want the disruption - just the snow!!!!

This is not good. This was the last of the endangered gritter species that we still have in Wales and now it's crashed - disaster!

Still snowing in Canton but not whiteout yet. Looking forward to building snowmen with the kids - as long as they don't shut the park like they did before Christmas (the council - not the kids). Is this going to freeze overnight? It's mighty cold out there.

New to this - so be nice! No snow here in Canton. Hope we will see some soon!! The suspense is killing me at the moment. One question - will I be in school or should I have another beer?
