  1. Apologies for the lack of comms yesterday I had a day off so Ian C could stretch his legs in front....a couple of storms fired down in Lamar but struggled to become severe we waited until 6pm before heading north to Chadron via some excellent country roads. A quick pizza stop in Sidney and as we headed north storms rolled out of Wyoming and flashed for us as we headed north. On reaching Chadron we shot lightning from the outskirts of town for a while.....storm everyday of the tour so far
  2. On the road to Lamar for lunch...Mr Cameron swears by a truck stop down there so we will park up and see what we can see! Confidence is low of any major development but if the CAP can be eroded and go bang then it could be a fun day. Very much looking forward to the multi-day severe weather in the far north so will be careful that we can still make it up there! Will fire up the stream after lunch....no real need to stream now unless you want to look at some Colorado countryside..if so let me know and I will fire it up! Next update after lunch...apparently the buffalo burgers are legendary!
  3. Great chase day.....reports and pictures to come from Paul...did we get a nado, didnt we? Will there be steaks before we fly home all will be revealed!
  4. Taking some hail, heavy rain and wind at the moment....deciding if we should drop south behind or get in front of the next cell to the south!
  5. Storms now East of Denver both have gone Tornado warned very quickly................its great how chasing can go from sitting down waiting to being on a Tornado warned cell!
  6. Here we go......Denver Cyclone has kicked off and we are off to intercept the cell to the NE of Denver. We have 2 severe markers on this storm and it is rapidly intensifying...chase is on!
  7. Not sure.....think the alternator might be on the blink as it does not seem to be charging up all that quickly. Paul also noted that the battery was not holding a full charge. The copper had a battery pack and got us going no problems. Guests were charging their gadgets in the back yday so have put a stop to that. Will keep an eye on it, PMSL Paul did not know which one was the battery under the hood!
  8. Stopping in Limon so guests can get a feed and we can keep an eye on the DCCZ....just a case of watching and waiting now.
  9. first storm of the day is up and west of Denver....directly ahead on the stream. Kicking out a fair amount of lightning and some hail.
  10. and were off......half an hour later than intended thanks to a flat battery but after a quick walk over to the gas station and asking the local cops very nicely they drove over and gave us a jump! Off to Limon to wait for the party to get started! Will fire up the stream for those who are about in a couple of mins!
  11. Good evening folks...... Been in the fields again with low signal heading back towards the interstate and the land of internet. Things are slowly starting to evolve here...slow burner today! Just south of Kimball at the moment...
  12. Found an incredible spot for lunch in Ogalala...Buffalo burgers all round. Now its a waiting game to see where cells go up, we need to be careful on choosing which cell to chase as yesterday we committed to the southern storm and the northern one produced. Will be firing the stream up in the next 15minutes. Next stop...Sidney.... https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/18357-img-0864/
  13. On the road to Ogollala....gas up and feed up. I80 starting to look very familiar! Stream will be on as soon as convection fires
  14. good chase day yesterday! Stream held up well either side of the interstate........ Thanks for sticking with us!
  15. back in signal area.......who is still with me or are you all sleeping? Got some good structure shots looks like all storms are lining out will see what we can do!!!!
  16. this storm did not do the business when hitting the outflow boundary going for the cells to our NW. Yup lovely time lapse Ian.......
  17. heading into the sand hills north of i80 no idea how stream will cope!!!!
  18. getting interesting guys.....if stream goes down check both chasertv and here out on the country roads signal is weak but we will come back near the interstate to pick it up! Surrounded by supercells...fun times
  19. leaving this storm heading north looks like storms up are there are about to hit an outflow boundary we reckon they have better tornado potential!
  20. Back up and running these fields are terrible for signal! Nice wall cloud and rapid rising scud, looks like it might be going HP
  21. Back in signal....sorry stopped in a field our cell is now a classic supercell rapidly organising, winds backed to the SE will post a couple of pics
  22. Explosive development over us at Ogallala, dropping south and sticking with his cell went from nothing to 35k feet in one scan! Here we go..........will try and get pics up every so often incase stream drops. Picking up the viewers rapidly on chasertv....
  23. Ah wow did not think I would be updating yo guys so soon but...... MD issues for our target area already......... So here are two options for today: - Storms firing along outflow boundary along SWRN SD into NWRN NEB OR - Storms forming witthin a plume of ascent out of CO encountering moisture over western Nebraska Seeing a CU field developing below a VORTMAX at the moment and lots of variation in wind direction with height...all signs are looking good. https://forum.netweather.tv/gallery/image/18354-its_starting/ Now for the streams........
