  1. 1. Which will be the next drier than average season (i.e. EWP below 100%)? I've given up on drier than average months.

Jul 24 to Jun 25 to be driest mid-year to mid-year on record. That's what we need.

I think Summer 2022 was the way of saying it's our last hot dry summer which is why we had all those heatwaves to say goodbye, and starting to settle into the new UK as @SunSean  mentioned.

Should the 00z suite be correct we will probably already be near average for the Spring by mid month.

Nothing short of an exceptional dry spell in the 2nd half stops this from being another above average season for rainfall.

Onto summer we go...

kold weather GFS 00z operational is less extreme for the 2nd week in April (more like "normal changeable" than extreme) but even still, you're probably right. 300% rainfall for week 1 (possible - Week 1 looks truly extreme, especially for the time of year) and say 110% rainfall for week 2 of April will still mean 205%, approximately, of normal rainfall for the first half of April and even if 16th-30th was bone-dry April would be a 10th consecutive wet month.

May would thus have to be almost rainless to prevent spring being a fifth (?) consecutive wet season.

Autumn, but that is solely due to a bone dry but completely sunless November, with the max and min temperature staying at 11c the whole month with no deviation at all. Just a big status cloud with occasional drizzle every single day.

September and October still being wet, with persistant drizzle the whole of both months and non-stop grey skies therefore rainfall will only be 120% of average for those months. December will then be a complete washout with rain, wind and grey skies every single day

April - August being complete washouts and completely devoid of any warmth or sunshine. It will mean 7 consecutive months of rainfall over 200% of average, and January will be the sunniest month of the year (Unless this March beats that)
